Do you ever get that feeling that you're being watched? That feeling where your heart accelerates in fear from the unknown. That's how I feel right now as I walked home from the library. It was pretty late, like around six or seven o'clock, but usually the library closes at four. Since I'm friends with the librarian, she let me stay longer than anyone else. She really was a sweet old lady, she had black, slightly graying hair, light blue eyes, and tan skin. I loved her to death, she was like my second mother. There was a rustle coming from behind me, I turned my head, and looked around cautiously. Huh, thats strange.. I thought. I turned around and started walking again. There was another rustle, so I turned around and at the corner of the street stood a tall figure. It looked like a shadow of some sort. I squinted my eyes trying to get a better look. The figure looked to be male and around six foot five. I suddenly felt a cold chill roll up my spine. I grip my arms rubbing them trying to achieve some kind of warmth. It was odd for it to be this cold in the month of May. I blinked and the Man was gone. Well then. I thought, turning on my heel, only to run into what felt like a brick wall. I rubbed my nose with the palm of my hand. "Ouch." I looked up to see a deathly pale man with thick, black shoulder length hair, deep blue or black eyes, which color I wouldn't know. He had perfect chiseled facial features. All on all he was very attractive. "O-oh, I'm sorry, sir. " He wore a black pinstripe suit, with a blood red button up shirt, dress shoes, a gold chain hanging from his inside pocket. Which I guessed It to be some sort of pocket watch. He also had a black cane, which happened to have a red ruby at the base of it. The man looked down at me with cold eyes, he, towering over my five foot seven frame. "Uhm, I'm uh, really sorry about that." I stuttered. I started backing up, my heart hammering in my chest. He took a step forward as I took one back. "Are you Vesper Hale? " He asked with a deep, smooth, but gravely whisper. "Wh-who wants to know?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him skeptically. "That is none of your concern child," He said in that velvety voice, "We'll be in contact. " He said, turning around, walking away in long strides. "Wait! What?! Who are you!?" I called after him. I ran to the corner, but he was gone. What the hell? I thought, turning and running home before something else weird happened. Tomorrow I finally start Thornswood High School. High School here I come. I thought distastefully.
