It was December first, and I was still rotting in my prison cell. The good thing was that today was my last day in this prison. When my brother Thor became the All-Father, he promised me that I was to be released 7 days before my birthday. Since I had helped him save Jane from the Aether and I was able to recognize and admit my faults, he thought that was the least he could do.

As I was packing up my stuff, I heard footsteps heading towards me. I turned to see who it was and saw a beautiful girl heading towards me.

“Hello Loki, my name is Arya of Midgard,” said the girl.

“I thought Asgard didn’t welcome Midgardians?” I smirked. She was beautiful indeed, the most beautiful creature I’ve seen in my life.

“They don’t, but I’ve lived in Midgard ever since I can remember. Odin came after finding out that I was actually kidnapped and took to Midgard. No one knows what realm I am from so I always say that I am from Midgard,” she responded.

“I see. So you are like me in a way?” I asked.

“Yes, I am in a way,” she chuckled with a smile.

Wow, as I saw her smile, she became even more beautiful by the minute.

“And may I ask, what is such a stunning lady like you doing in a place like this?” I asked. But I saw that the smile she had was slowly fading away.

“The All-Father Thor has requested me to watch over you for a year, just to make sure you don’t mess up anything,” she responded.

“I don’t need a babysitter, thank you very much. But, I think we can get along well,” I said, hoping to see her smile again.

“Yes, I think so too,” she chuckled, slipping a little smile.
