it was a normal school day when i woke up. i groaned and headed downstairs to get breakfast. i was greeted by my mother who had already fixed eggs and bacon. i smiled and sat down at the table. i ate quickly and got ready even quicker.
i tripped out the door and ran to school. when i got there, i immediately saw all my friends crowded around each other. i waved my hand and shouted one of their names. they looked up and got out of their huddle. they walked over to me.
"yoongi, hey," taehyung said.
"what was that ?" i asked.
"we were just talking about a new kid," he replied.
"new kid, huh ?" i retorted.
"yeah, his name is jimin and he's in our class," he said.
"ok then," i said.
i walked away and went to my first class. i went in and saw that someone was already in there; no one is usually in here this early. i took a good look at him and from what i saw he had dark pink hair, slightly muscular body, and a very cute face.
"h-hey," i said.
"oh, hi !" the boy replied happily.
"you the new kid ?" i asked.
"yup !" he replied.
"jimin, right ?" i asked.
he nodded and went back to what he was doing. "i never got your name," he said after a while, not looking at me.
"yoongi," i said.
"yoongi..it has a nice ring to it," he said.
"thanks," i chuckled.
after a few minutes of comfortable silence, other students crowded the room. some stopped at the sight of us together, alone.
"you've already gotten close, huh ?" taehyung commented.
"i guess," i said.
he nudged my arm and winked.
"no," i said.
"what ? i didn't say anything," he said.
i rolled my eyes and ignored him.
the day was finally over and i was about to start walking back home until someone stopped me. jimin.
"hi !" he said.
"hey ?" i replied rather cautiously.
"do you want to meet up sometime ? you know, so we can get closer ?" he asked.
"sure," i said.
"ok, tomorrow at the cafe across the street ? 3:00 ?" he asked.
"yeah, that's fine," i said.
"ok, bye, yoongi !" he said as he ran the other direction.
i walked back to my house and greeted my mother once again. i decided to go out with taehyung today so i got ready and headed to the library. we met at the door and walked inside. it wasn't crowded but there were a few people looking for books. we went upstairs and found a book about dogs. we giggled and 'aww'ed' at the pictures for a long time.
"hey, look who's over there," taehyung whispered.
i looked up and searched for what he was talking about and i saw it. my ex boyfriend, hoseok.
"don't look," i said.
taehyung did exactly the opposite. "hoseok !" he yelled out.
the boy looked back and smiled. i muttered curse words under my breath before he walked over to us.
