You were outside with Daphne Greengrass when you overheard a very familiar voice. Draco was bragging about his girlfriend, again. Sure, it was sweet and all but not when you had a charms essay due the next day. His voice carried over most of the courtyard. You managed to pick up on a few sentences here and there.

"She's the best girlfriend in the world." He really was full of it, wasn't he? You and Daphne carried on trying to complete the essay but his voice was so distinct that it was difficult to ignore. He had Slytherin's hanging onto his every word, boys and girls alike. You just chuckled whilst listening to him.

"Did I mention she cooked for me once?" He shot a sly smile over in your direction before continuing. "Don't tell my mother but my girl can really cook. Maybe even better than her." Daphne laughed as she listened to him too. Both of you had gotten used to it by now. His voice was just music to your ears. It was beautiful, although Potter and his friends didn't like it. Who cared what they thought? Draco was the most wonderful person you had ever met. You listened for a few more minutes before deciding that he had spoken too much for today. There was only one way to stop him.

You stood up and put your wand in your robe pocket. Daphne just smiled at you thankfully. She was certainly getting tired of the Slytherin Prince's girlfriend. You chose to walk up to him from behind so he didn't see you coming. When you reached him he was still talking.

"Did I tell you about when..." he was cut off by you throwing your arms around his neck and giving him a light kiss on the cheek. That shut him up for about a minute.

"Did I mention that she's super sweet?" You just laughed at him. He turned around to kiss you on the lips. Everyone started to wander off in different directions, giving the both of you some privacy.

"I love you Draco Malfoy." You smiled as he lowered his head to kiss you once more. When the kiss broke he looked at you with a genuine smile.

"I love you too, (Y/N)."
