Safe Zone

**time jump 6 months**
Mckenzie sat on her couch flipping pages in a magazine, her feet up. Chibs was helping with club business so she had Half-sac sitting in a chair across from her. Her belly had grown and she waddled when she tried to walk. Chibs and her were living together in a quaint two bedroom house, McKenzie's little boys room was ready to go, with walls painted a golden yellow, and a red oak crib and bedroom set. Theyre relationship had grown, although the talk of where they stood hadnt come up yet. Kenzie didnt mind, she was in no rush to be in a full blown relationship just yet. Kenzie sighed and pulled herself up carefully. "hold on, dont strain yourself! Chibs'll kill me if you get hurt." hailf-sac stated, helping her to stand. "im fine kippy, im pregnant, not disabled." she chuckled as she waddled her way to the kitchen. Little Dmitri was hungry, and she wanted a cup of tea. she hummed as she filled the tea kettle, setting it on the hot burner she searched through the fridge, but cound nothing appetizing. with a heavy, defeated sigh she turned to Kip who laughed. "whats he want? ill see if one of the guys can drop something off." "chinese food! and lots of egg rolls." she replied throwing her head back. He shook his head and laughed as he pulled his burner phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. she walked passed him and down the hall to the room her and Chibs shared. After grabbing a clean outfit she made her way to the bathroom to take a shower.
Once she had washed away the sweat and grime she stepped out and dried off before putting on a pair of black sweat pants and a giant sons of anarchy shirt she had stolen from chibs. after pulling her hair into a messy bun she exited the room and went to find Half-sac. He was sitting on the couch, his eyes closed. She smiled and went into the kitchen to find a cup on the counter with a bag of her favorite tea and steaming water. Never in her life had she felt happier, she finally had friends, a life, and she was genuinely excited about becoming a mother. Any fsars she had were pushed from her mind thanks to Gemma. The queen had become her backbone, always pushing her forward when she felt the need to run. The restraining order was still in play, but it didnt stop Rob from harassing her. Although he kept spitting out hurtful things, and telling everyone he didnt want her anymore, his actions said another thing. McKenzie always had Chibs with her, and when he had to help the club she was either at home or at the clubhouse with another member. She didnt mind, she felt safe having the men around her, keeping her and her child out of harms way. She had never imagined this is where she would be, she had hoped she be in another state, where no one could find her.

Kenzie heard a knock on the door, she turned in the direction of the sound to see kip slowly opening the door. "Hey, that'll be 17.50$" a voice said. Half-sac paid the guy and took the food. "Got all your favorites, Chibs called while you were in the shower said he'd be back in an hour or so." he told her as he handed her the three small boxes and a bag of eggrolls. "thanks kippy, youre the best!" she smiled as she took a bite of her lo-mein. They ate in silence and spent the next hour and half watching a sitcom and talking. Kenzie smiled as she heard the front door open and hear the familiar sound of Chibs boots entering their shared home. "aye lass, glad to see you smilin. Ya better not be trying to steal mah girl Half-sac." He joked, his accent sending a warm feeling all through her body. "Never, i dont think i could anyway, man." Kip replied, both looking at her and her big smile. "no, he could never. only got eyes for you scotty." she winked at Chibs who laughed and walked around the couchbto plant a kiss on her forehead. "guys need ya at the shop. we're good here." he stated, Half-sac stood and gave Kenzie a quick hug before leaving. The Scot sat down next to her and pulled her close, resting his hand on her very pregnant belly. She smiled and rested against him. Soon it started gettong dark so the two made their way to bed. After changing and sliding under the covers and into eachothers arms Chibs looked down and Kenzie, her moss green eyes stared by up, a few strands of blonde hair resting on her cheek. "be my ol lady?" he asked in a whisper. Her breath caught in her throat as she nodded, a smile forming on her lips. "i thought youd never ask." they shared an amazing kiss before curling up together and drifiting off to sleep.
**3 hours later**
Kenzie woke to sharp pains in her lower back and abdomen. Wincing she sat up and took a deep breath. "Ch..Chibs, babe i think somethings wrong." she gasped out. Chibs yawned and rolled over to look at her with tired eyes. "what d' ya mean?" "i think its time." Chibs sat up quickly and grabbed the duffle that sat on the floor of the closet and helped her up and to the car, all while calling Gemma to let her know.
