The sound of Twenty-One Pilots filtered into Star's dreams. She rolled around in bed, trying to fall back asleep. The sound of her sister singing made her throw a pillow across the room.
Star rose out of bed, coming face to face with a small girl in a giraffe onsie standing in the middle of the room, hairbrush in hand, halfway through the song.
"Sami, we have school today." Star said, rubbing her tired eyes.
"Yeaaah, I know!"
"Why didnt you wake me up?!"
"Uh... whoospie?"
Star rolled her eyes, flinging herself out of bed. She walked into the bathroom, Sami following behind. The girls stood in the bathroom together, brushing their hair and teeth. Sami looked up in the mirror. Blonde, blue-eyed. Star, on the other hand, was grey-eyed and had a head full of long, dark brown hair. Both girls were pale, but because they didnt care for going out into the sun much. Most of the time, they sneak out at night to walk around town.
They were almost the same height, Star only mere inches taller. Star went into the closet, pulling out a black TØP hoodie and skinny jeans. As she changed, Sami thought. Why did the two girls look so different? They were born the same day, from the same woman. As though, thats what they were told.
Their parents had to be hiding something. But what?
