Archie Andrews, Jughead VS Justin Foley: Battle for Betty Cooper

High School

"Look at that hotty!""Really that guy? He's a jock Veronica, and he's well, not the nicest boy in school." Betty says as she looks at Justin with wonder in her eyes. "Well, he's hella cute that's for sure.""C'mon Roni, theres plenty of other fish in the sea, now C'mon we have to get to class." The two girls shoes clattered as they walked quietly to class.
Before class starts

"Hey, who's your girlfriend now Justin, last week it was Amber before it was Jane.." Justin put his pointer finger up to hush Reggie. "First of all, both of those were rumors, and second, I'm single. " Justin says with a smile." Across the room Veronica Lodge and Betty Cooper were whispering about."Veronica, you should go talk to him before he gets a girlfriend? " "Oh please, he's one of the hottest boys in this school. That's easy for me to admit, but I like
someone else." Veronica gazed at Reggie (Justin's friend). Back to Justin and Reggies conversation."Anyways, I caught you eyeing Betty, do you have a thing for her or something?" Reggie said questionable. "If I did I wouldn't make a whole story on why I like her I would just say yes or no, and well I don't know yet." "You know Archie has a thing for her too right? So you better hurry up, on whatever feelings you may or may not have for her. Just saying."Archie (a cute, kind boy) walked in the classroom, and put his arm around Betty. "Hey guys! " "Hey Arch, did you hear about them moving the spring formal to next week?" "Yes, Betty, I did and that's what I was about to talk with you about..." "Uhhh. . Justin I think Archie's asking Betty to the spring formal so you really have to hurry it up, like you need to make a decision now." Reggie said rushingly.
"Will you..." Archie suddenly gets interrupted by Justin who has already ran to the other side of the room to where they were. "What's up guys?" " Really? You never talk to us in school or out and just now your saying hi?" Betty said partially annoyed. *Justin opens his mouth and laughs a little* "Yeah, so can you leave us alone and were do the same to you." Archie said hurriedly so he could make Justin go away. "Well last time I checked you weren't in charge around here, I was." Justin said with a high ego. "Really? You think your in charge, come on guys let's go." Archie left the room and Veronica followed after him. You might be thinking what about Betty? Well here it is. Justin grabbed Betty's arm, sturdy enough to keep her in her footprints, but not too hard to make her feel uncomfortable. "Wait, Betty. " "What do you want from me, just go talk to one of the cheerleaders." "No, Betty, just, please, wait. " "C'mon Betty let's go!" Archie stood outside the classroom door, thinking if Justin was gonna try to ask her before he did to spring formal. Betty followed Archie out the door. "Darnit" he said under his breath.
Lunch Period
Veronica, Betty, then Archie all sat down together at lunch, everyday, and talked amongst themselves.
But today was different. "So, what do you think Justin's up to?" Veronica said with a clueless look on her face. "Trouble, that's all he gets trouble." Archie said convincingly."Well, you'll never know unless you ask him." Betty said looking Archie in the eyes. "Me? Fine." Archie walked up to Justin. He and his other friend sat across from Betty,Veronica, and Archie, while they talked about who knows what. He put his hands on their table and said "So, Justin what's your point talking to us now?" "Can't a boy just be friendly?" " Your not friendly, are you do is make trouble, now if your trying to publicly prank Betty or something along those lines, then your gonna be in a tough spot. " "I'm not doing anything bad to Betty." The next sentence he says very quietly but not quiet enough for someone not to hear. "The last thing I would want to do is hurt Betty." "What DID YOU JUST SAY?!?" Archie got mad for what he thought he may of heard, but in fact he heard correctly. "Nothing, your just hearing voices. " "No I heard what you said and so DID EVERYONE ELSE AT THIS TABLE!!!" Archie said that so loud enough, that everyone in the whole cafeteria looked at Justin and Archie to see what was happening. "YOU LIKE BETTY DON'T YOU?!?" Archie said so loud and clear, that everyone looked at Betty (including Justin) to see what her reaction would be. She just looked at both Archie and Justin's eyes, in panic, she didn't want to flee the scene, but she didn't want it to get worse, and it couldn't get better. Justin furious at the fact not that the whole school knew, he was okay with that, but at the fact that Betty knew, and he couldn't say anything. So much anger stirred inside him and built up in his fist, and in that moment what felt right was to punch Archie in his mind, and so he did. Archie fell to the ground, slowly getting back up about to punch Justin but before that could happen Betty ran over and said "THATS ENOUGH!!!", her eyes tearing up that Archie got hurt, and everything in that moment was to overwhelming. She put her arm around Archie, who had a red mark on his face from the punch, and they walked off together as the rest of the cafeteria stayed in silence and just watched to see what Justin would do next.
