the doctor came out chase's room with an unreadable expression. "chase elliott's family?" he asked as he walked up slowly. cindy, bill, and i stood up. "we did a basic evaluation. he has at least 2 broken ribs and a fractured leg. most likely a concussion and possibly brain damage or paralysis. we're currently transporting him to the nearest hospital." he gave his condolences and walked back to the counter.
cindy clung onto bill with tears in her eyes. "let's go!" she sobbed. "do you need a ride, bailey?" i nodded and let out a sob.
