I was really nervous today is July 21st nothing special is about that date except it's the day that the Chicago Blackhawks ice girl tryouts are held. I've been dreaming about trying out since I was 15, but the age limit is 21. I just turned 21 the 1st of June. I was there at Madison street walking towards the rink. I took a long breath finally my dream of 6 years wait was finally going to be true. The Blackhawks are my favorite team and I was proud that I will get to ice during all that home games if I ever get to be an ice girl for that I had to pass the tryout.
I was nervous and excited at the same time. Now I was finally at my destination. Well here it goes I said and opened the doors. There were about 50 young girls just like me waiting and filling out their applications. As soon as I took a seat. Someone handed me an application to fill out.
When I was done filling it out I had about an hour that it had to wait so I was thinking about how close I am to be what I want to be. I had moved to Chicago from Anaheim as soon as I turned 19. All my friends there especially Julio who is a huge Anaheim Ducks fan didn't want me to move to Chicago he knew how much I loved my hawks. Well I didn't listen to anybody then and moved here.
It sure is cold here during winter that's when I miss California the most. Cali had a nice beautiful moderate weather which I love and the beaches are so blue and beautiful. 😁 But eh I chose to come here and I don't regret it. When it's cold I wear my nice and cozy Blackhawks sweater. And when it's snowing which it does of course I have my perfect Blackhawks beanie, which I have on today too but it's not snowing I guess my beanie is lucky. Good thing I chose it to wear it today.
While I still was thinking about all of this someone called all the girls on the ice. I started putting on my skates. I was nervous again. I followed the other girls onto the rink. This one guy who introduced himself as Roger was giving instructions. I pulled my beanie tighter around my head and put my gloves on.
Roger told us girls to skate around the rink five times I noticed that 2 women and a man were observing us from the stands. I told my self " Coley come on give your best skate." I skated and skated until I had to stop I saw some girls sliding. They were probably not going to get in.
I started wondering what to the people look for in a ice girl, the way she skates, her body? Oh well I had a nice body. My hair is honey brown which came up to my chest. My eyes are a really pretty light brown. My skin Is not that fair but yeah I sure do have a killer body. I would love to impress some of my Blackhawks especially my favorite the cute goaltender Corey Crawford.
After all us girls were done with our tryouts it was time to announce the final 20 out of 57 that had shown up for tryout. Roger and the other observers got up and talked amongst themselves and finally someone turned to speak. I prayed that my name would be in there.

I heard this girls squealing and jumping with joy only 5 girls were left to be called I got scared.

I was so excited tears of joy came to my eyes. I couldn't believe it. The other girls that were not chosen left. Only 20 of us were there. I'm glad I'm on the Chicago Blackhawks ice crew. Yay!!!yesss!!!! I started screaming.
After all of us got congratulated the tailors took our measurements to get our uniforms ready. I was shaking the whole time. After they showed us how to use all the ice equipment they gave us the practice schedule. It was pretty nice since I have my side job of babysitting. I save my own money since I live alone and I own the place still I have my savings .
I walked out onto Madison st. I'm lucky to have found an apartment by united center so I could just walk there. Until I have enough money to buy a car. Well I love this place. The weather was nice and warm today with a little breeze. I turned left on the side walk to walk to the store to pick up some groceries.
My phone started to buzz in my pocket as soon as I got out the store. It was a client for babysitting a 3 year old girl named Chloe. Oh I just love little kids. Since I'm in the icecrew now I'll have to limit my babysitting hours. Practice starts next week.
I got home washed my face and hands and decided something to eat. I decided to make a chocolate cake to celebrate. I gathered all the ingredients and started to make it. While I was waiting for it to bake I watched tv for a while. I checked the time it was 6 o'clock 5 minutes till my cake was done. I opened up a bottle of wine to drink. And took my cake out of the oven. I put frosting on my cake.
I finished my cake before my baby for the babysitting came at 7 o'clock
*1 week later*
I woke up as soon as my alarm went of today was the big day.
All the icegirls were called to come in and the were going to teach us how to ride the zambonne and how to ice the ice etc. I took a quick shower and headed out to the rink.
It was a nice day. It was shiny outside. What a perfect day I thought.
I took out my phone and headphones out from my purse. I put on Chelsea Dagger on❤️. I sang along with it.
I reached the rink in no time. I was 15 minutes early so I was just roaming around and I couldn't believe what I saw there were there the Blackhawks practicing in one of the rinks. I couldn't believe my eyes. This was the first time I saw them outside of a game. I saw kaner, and tazer and OMG sharpie and shawzie and my eyes wandered around to the one player I was dying to see. Then omfg I saw him he was right there by the goal. I saw him my favorite Corey Crawford❤️💋. I jumped in excitement.
I didn't notice that 15 minutes had passed. The icegirls were supposed to meet in the other rink.
