Chapter 2 ~ Old Friends

Nagisa drags me heavily to the roof. Plodding his feet obnoxiously on the stairs, laughing and giggling the whole way there. He's really, really excited.

"Sarah-chan c'mon. They might have left already because of your slowness!"

"Nagi don't be rude!"

"You've given me a nick name" his eyes glistened. They twitched with emotion, he's so fricking cute when he's not being annoying.

"Yes, now let's get to the roof." I point at the door.

"HARU-CHAN. MAKOTO-CHAN." Nagi screams at the two boys eating lunch.

They drop their eating utensils, they look at each other confused as the crazy boy bounds up to them. I chuckle at my new friend. He's amazing.

"Nagisa?" Green haired giant asks. Oh god, they're the people I was following to school this morning. Awkward. I approach them.

"Makoto-chan you remember me! I'm so happy." Nagisa then proceeds to jump around the roof in joy.

"I apologize about Nagisa he was so deadset on meeting you two again." I say sheepishly to green eyed Makoto.

"Yeah, we've known Nagisa for a while, we just weren't expecting to see him now." Makoto scratches the back of his neck.

"Well, I'm Sarah the English student, I'm sure I'm the subject of all the gossip." I chuckle.

"You're also the girl who followed us to school this morning." Makoto smiles. i blush in embarrassment.

"I didn't know where the school was, so I followed you, sorry. I may have heard about blue eyes there being in the bath in the morning, that's why I laughed. Do people usually have baths in the mornings here?" I ask inquisitively. Blue eyes looked up at me as I said that. Glaring slightly. Makoto sees his friend staring at me.

"Haru, come greet her before you start being mean." Makoto says to his friend, Haru.

"Fine, hello I am Haruka Nanase." he says to me. "You're not going to laugh at my name?" He asks.

"Why would I do that?" I ask quite confused.

"Because its girly." He says with no emotion.

"Is it. I've only been in this country for a week or two..."

"You're Japanese is very good for a person who has only been here for a week or whatever" Makoto says politely.

Nagisa finally calms down and comes back.

"You okay Nagi?" I ask as he grins at us.

"Yeah, soooooo guys where do you swim?!" Nagisa asks enthusiastically.

"About that. We don't swim for a club anymore. You can often catch Haru in the tub in the mornings though. He still loves the water." Makoto winks at me when he mentions Haru in the bath. 

Haru mumbles something, from what I heard "That's because the water still loves me."

"WHAAAAAAAAAA-!" Nagisa shouts. "You don't swim? I was really excited to swim with you guys again." He pouts.

"You guys were in a swim club together? How cute!" I squeal pinching Nagi's cheek.

"Sarah-chan don't do that! I need to be manly!" He puffs up his chest and all of us start laughing. Haru gives a small smile but doesn't laugh.

Then the school bell rings. Back to lessons.

"See-ya Makoto and Nanase." I say, not knowing if I know Haru well enough to use his first name, he doesn't seem to like me much.

This time I drag Nagi down the stairs, not wanting to be late for my class. As the lesson ends. I look up to see Nagi waiting for me again.

"Hey Nagi-chan do you want to come round after school today?" I ask, my parents would be proud for me to have a new friend already.

"I've been waiting for you to ask" he grins and grabs my hand and pulls me out of the class room. We were walking out of the gates and down the route to get to my house, Nagisa spots Haru and Makoto walking the same way. He runs trying to catch up with them. I sigh having to run after the crazy blonde haired, pink eyed Nagisa.

"Makoto-chan, Haru-chan" Nagisa wheezes. I thought he said he swims, his stamina is appalling. I just nod at both of them. I opt to walk with Makoto as Nagisa tries to bug Haru.

"So Makoto, where do you live?" I ask curiously, if he lives close, I can offer him round as well. Haru can tag along if he so wishes.

"Erm (insert address here, because I don't know, are Japanese addresses different?)"

"That's two houses down from mine" I beam, happy to know there is someone aside from my older brother to walk to school with.

"Really?" He smiles "Do you want to walk to school with me and Haru?" He asks nicely voicing my thoughts.

"I'd love to, I don't want to walk with my brother, he's an idiot." I laugh thinking of my brother. Who is ill in bed right now.

"I don't know anyone who'd actually walk with their older siblings. I wouldn't mind taking my little brother and sister though" Makoto says smiling kindly as he thinks of his kin.

"If you want Makoto, you and Haru can come round mine? Nagisa's staying for dinner, it won't be any trouble." I smile at him, trying to coax him to say yes.

"I'll come, I'll ask Haru." He says to me then calls out to Haru who was listening to Nagisa talk about Penguins. "Hey, Haru do you want to come to Sarah's with me and Nagisa?" 

"No, thanks." Haru replies simply. Makoto looks a bit down hearted, I rub his shoulder. He smiles down at me. Well we can have our fun together. (not in a cheeky way).

We continue walking and talking. We arrive at Haru's house and wave him home. We then go towards mine and Makoto's house.

Stepping towards mine, Makoto asks if he can run home and get changed. Me and Nagisa accept, of course. So we head to my house which I had pointed out to Makoto before he left.

I take my shoes off and throw my bag down as we enter, Nagisa doing the same but a bit more gentle.

"Do you know if anyone's home?" Nagisa asks a bit frightened of our house as no lights are on.

"I think my brother's are here."

"Patrick, Kieran, are you here?" I shout loudly to get their attention. Nagisa places his hands over his ears.

A faint "yes, I'm here." from Patrick tells me that Kieran is at the University, getting breifed or something.

"Nagi, do you want anything to drink or eat?" I ask politely.

"Hmm, can I have a glass of water?" He asks.

"Of course, my dear!" I reply. I lead Nagisa into our modern kitchen. We have a large fridge to accomodate my brother's both have an extremely large appetite. The oven is also large so we can have all the same food as what we had in England.

"Oh, Nagisa do you not like any types of foods?"

"Nope I eat anything" he says.

I shrill ring signifies my doorbell. I walk out the kitchen to go let Makoto in. I open the door and standing there is Haru.

"Hey." He says.

"Urm, hi, are you coming round too?"  I ask. 

"Is that Haru-chan, Sarah-chan?" I hear Nagisa call.

"If you don't mind." He says quietly, looking to the side.

"Ah, Haru, you decided to come anyway." Makoto says as he walks up the path to my front door.

"Well come in everyone" I say to them smiling as Nagisa walks into the hall.

this story is going to have some long chapters I'm hoping to have it around 20 chapters, and progress like the series. There will also be a girls swim team I think.. I'm excited about this. ^_^
