The sun shines through the spotted windows as the clock ticks by ever so slowly."Only two more minutes and I'm done." Stephanie thought to herself. Summer was so close. Three months of sun, luaus, and surfing all day. One of the best parts about Kauai was the summer. The freedom of exploring the island and meeting all the new tourists.

"RIIIIIIIING" . She was free. Students rushed out of the classrooms, screams and yelps echoed through the congested halls. As Stephanie was maneuvering her way through the halls to her locker she suddenly felt a person get shoved into her, knocking the book in her hand down to the floor.

"Oh, hey sorry about that. Here let me help you", said a familiar voice. So smooth in his tone. " No you're fine I've got it" she said. Only looking at her fallen books she goes down to grab them and not noticing he did too, soon hitting heads together. She rubbed her head and said in a frantic voice, " Oh my god I'm so sorry. I'm such a-". She pauses and she finally looks up to see who it is. Eyes doubling in size, Stephanie stares into the piercing Caribbean blue eyes rimmed with dark brown lashes. Andrew Kuclar.

Still staring, she finally snaps out of her trance. "Here let me get those for you." Andrew says with that perfect smile. Teeth white as pearls. He bends down to grab her books and holds them out in front of her to take.

"Thank you." Stephanie can feel her cheeks burning bright red.

" My pleasure," Andrew smiles and pats her on the shoulder, " have a nice summer". He walks away and Stephanie stands there for a minute with a grin crawling on her face. Only three more months until I can see him again, she thought. Then having a realization that he probably doesn't even know her name, her expression changes. With the smile disappearing on her face, she walks to her locker, grabs all her books and binders, and walks out of the door, finally walking out the school as a summer awaits.
