I have no name but the one I was given. The one that was given to us all. I am one of many. I am a purple. I am a Tattletail.
"Purple, come here!" Yellow waddled towards me and gestured to the right with his ears.
"What is it?" I started going towards him. I stopped as Yellow's eyes grew wide. I was snatched up from behind and thrown to the ground. "Run!" I turned to face my attacker as soon as Yellow had started running. I saw a wall of light brown fur, darker brown around it. Glowing red eyes. Sharp teeth. This was her. This was "Mama..." I shrank away from her.
Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Mama was gone, no trace. I was picked up, but this time it was by hands instead of teeth. I turned to see the child. Their face was contorted with fear, eyes wide. I tried to talk to them, but the only thing that came out was 'Feed Me.' They did just that and next thing I know, I was on the charging station. Suddenly, Yellow was beside me. He said 'Brush Me.' I laughed. The child was even more scared than before. I pitied them. They were so scared, and they'd only encountered Mama a few times. But I knew somehow that Mama would be coming this time. And the child would die. I pitied them for that too. Poor child.
We walked through the basement, the child and I. They clutched me tight and shook the flashlight, dodging Mama all the while. I knew the child would die. I knew Mama would win. Because that was her game. And she always won.
I could hear her, but I couldn't see her yet. She was close, I knew it. I tried to tell the child not to shake the light. But they did. And she was there. I saw her. I heard her. I felt her. She was here and the child would die now. She came closer. And closer. Closer still. And there she was. And the child, the foolish child, shook the light. The last thing the child did was clutch me tighter. Mama killed the child. I would have cried over them if I could. But I couldn't. So I laughed. And I said three words.
"No More Mama."
