Kara ran out of the catco building in milliseconds- she couldn't let Alex down. She was too happy and in love with Maggie to let her down. She flew to the police station and dropped through the ceiling. She looked up to see Lillian Luthor, smiling and holding the radiation bomb. Supergirl's eyes light up with her heat vision.
I wouldn't do that if I were you. See, if I drop this, it goes off, and everyone in here dies now or later, of cancer.

Supergirl said, her eyes returning to normal.
Simple: There is a bomb planted in the national city bank. If it goes off, this one becomes incapable of exploding, and vice versa. Now you have to choose.
