A night to remember

The night it happened

I was in my room getting ready for the night ahead of me. I hear a ding coming from my phone.

Sara: "I'm outside. U ready?"

Me: "Doors unlocked, come in."

Sara walks into my room seeing me putting on my makeup like usual.

Sara: "Girl, You're gonna get all sweaty on that dance floor, what's the point on putting on makeup?"

Me: "I got to look good if I'm planning on getting laid tonight." I said with a wink. Sara laughs and I laugh along. I finished getting ready and just in case I slip a condom into my bag. We head outside and Sara's uber is waiting for us in my driveway. Sara is wearing a short black dress, with big hoop earrings and her hair is a ponytail. I'm wearing a Black dress with pink stripes going vertical down it, with small pearl earrings and a pearl necklace.

The drive to the club was a long painful drive. I have never been to this club before, Sara was the one who picked it out. It was a pub, it wasn't one of those night clubs people go to and get drunk and have sex in the bathrooms. It was a family friendly building, but it just so happens to be non-family-Friday. They throw these parties every Friday where no kids are allowed, so it basically turns into a night club. I walk in and immediately there are people in their little groups at their tables. I spot this one guy sitting at a table alone. He's wearing black jeans and a black beanie, with a grey t-shirt, and black vans. He looked like he was forced to come, or he didn't belong. I continue to watch this one guy in particular. I was just staring at him from a far for more than a minute. I look around and notice Sara is gone. I look back at the guy and there are several people around him. I realized that he was not alone, so I went off to find Sara.

I pushed my way through the crowd. As I'm doing so, someone pushes me. I turn around to say something to the person who did it, but then I feel a hand on my shoulder. I immediately turn around. I see this tall guy, way taller than me, looking at me. It's the guy at the table that I saw earlier.

Him: "Are you okay?" His voice was deeper than expected.

Me: "Yeah I'm fine. Thanks." I'm fidgeting with my fingers trying not to make eye contact.

Him: "Are you sure? You seemed kind of mad before I stopped you. By the way, That's my friend Corey. I don't think he saw you, I'm sure it was an accident." He said with a smile.

Me: "Oh, that's okay. I'm Alyssa." As I say these words i cant help but look into his eyes. His eyes were a deep ocean blue. They were so gorgeous i couldn't help but stare.

Him: "I'm Colby, Colby Brock." He looked at me with a big smile on his face. I just continued to gaze into his eyes. I couldn't see if I was blushing or not, but I could feel it.

Colby: "Um..are you okay?"

Me: "Oh yeah, I'm sorry...I don't know what was happening there...hehe." Of course I start to panic. What am I supposed to say in a situation like that?

Me: "So...The weather today was kind of crappy...?" I didn't know what I was saying at this point. I was to distracted by his face, I couldn't think of anything clever.

Colby: "I guess so, haha. Are you nervous?" He smiled, it was one of the most precious smiles I have ever seen. I look him in the eyes and I speak nervously.

Me: "If this is called nervous, then yeah, I'm nervous." I smiled back. He grinned at me and took me by the hand. I barely knew this guy and I was already head over heels for him. He takes me to the dance floor and we are dancing the night away. He takes me to the bar. I'm not old enough to drink yet so he ordered a milkshake. The bartender hands me my drink and two straws. I try to give it back but he insisted. I look at Colby and he's staring at me. I look down at the shake really quick. I felt one of the straws slipping from my hand. I look up to him putting it in the drink and him drinking it. I take a minute to take in what is happening. I took my straw and stuck it into the shake and start to drink it too. I look up at him while sipping the milky desert and he's just looking at me, saying nothing, just looking. He finally broke the silence.

Colby: "Where are you from?" He leaned in closer to take another sip.

Me: "San Diego. What about you?" I say, mocking his same movements.

Colby: "I'm from Kansas, But I moved out here to LA to fulfill my dream of being an entertainer." He looked at me with his bright eyes and he grabbed a hat off the counter and put it on his head, assuming it was his, i went along with it.

Me: "Entertainer? How's that working out for you?" I said with a chuckle.

Colby: "Actually pretty good. I have over 300,000 subs on Youtube and I have over 500k on Instagram." He grabbed another sip of my milkshake and leaned back and smiled. I was shocked, but not surprised. Judging from his looks, I can only assume his fan base is a ton of raging teenage girls.

Me: "Cocky much?" I laugh.

Colby: "if this is what you call cocky, then yes, I'm cocky." He leans forward, not to take a sip, but to get closer to me. I stare into his eyes and he stares into mine. I look at his lips and back up to his eyes. He does the same. The moment was interrupted by someone shouting.

Sam: "Yo! Colby whats u-...whose this?" He looked at me puzzled.

Colby: "Sam this is Alyssa, Alyssa this is Sam." When he said my name it gave me butterflies. He's one of the few guys who actually remember my name, which makes him ten-times hotter.

Sam: "oh, nice to meet you m'lady," He bows ,"Anyways, Colby, we were about to head out and I was about to ask if you were coming with, but I see you're kind of busy so I'll just tell everyone you're busy." He winks at me.

Colby: "Actually, Alyssa do you want to come with?" My mind breaks into chaos. What do I say? I can't say no. I don't even have his number! My brain takes over and before you know it...

Me: "Yeah sure!"
