CHAPTER 12-NEXT DAY

Max walked you to school today. You were hand-in-hand.

"Y'know... I'm proud of you for saying it!" You smiled.

"S-So what?!?!?! I j-j-j-just said that I liked you!" Max stuttered as he blushed.

"And that takes courage, sweetie." You smiled.

"Pft... Whatever..." He shrugged as he blushed. You giggled at him. You went on you tippy-toes so you could reach his height (Because let's just say he's like way taller than you)

"I'm proud of you..." You whispered in his ear, sending shivers down his spine. He shrugged it off once again. "C'mon. Aren't you at least proud of yourself?"

"I-I guess..." He mumbled. You chuckled and punched him playfully.

"So... What do you think Craig, Felix and Flynn'll think?" You asked.

"Well, I don't care about Felix and Flynn... But i'm not sure about Craig..." Max sighed as he put his hood up. "Just promise that you'll like me more than him... No matter what he does..."

""C'mon, Max! He's creepy! I don't like him..." You frowned. "and I'm kinda scared of him..." Max pulled you close to him.

"I shall protect my princess Y/n! Is it o-okay if I call you that? "P-P-Princess"?" He stuttered with a deep crimson on his face.

"I like that nickname!" You smiled as you kissed his cheek. You both walked into school, hand-in-hand. The hole school looked at you two, with shocked faces and smiles. You walked past the boys, who seemed to be beating up someone. You looked down to see who they were beating up.

"Em-?"

"STAY OFF M'LADY!" Preston screamed in his PJ's as he choke-slammed Craig. The other two shrugged and walked away, while Craig followed after he got up. Preston quickly ran towards Emma with worry.

"Preston? Weren't you sick?" Emma coughed,

"A TRUE MAN ALWAYS KNOW WHEN HIS LADY IS IN DANGER!" He shouted as he hugged Emma. "ARE YOU OKAY, SWEETHEART?!?!"

"Yep..." Emma chuckled weakly. "Just get home and rest u-"

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!" He shouted as he ripped off his pj's, revealing that he was wearing his normal clothing under. "I MUST STAY HERE WITH YOU!" He then picked Emma up and walked away.

"Damn..." Max mumbled under his breath. "I need lessons on how to be better..."
