Hey.. This is my first wattpad story and was actually a school assingnment from a while ago. Sorry if there are a couple of typos. Hope you guys like it :) And also I am new to wattpad so i hope you like it. Thanks and enjoy.
“Do we have to move house again?” I asked, as I began to repack all of my possessions. Galaxy was a 16 year old girl; she lived with her Mum and Dad. They worked for a company that renovated old abandoned houses and put them on the market again. “Yes honey, this is for the best and where we are moving to is only a 30 minute drive so you won’t be moving schools or anything like last time” Mum called, as she walked up the stairs.
After living in this house for exactly a week now something still feels a little off. Like I have been here before, I just can’t seem to remember when I would have. Mum and dad said that they have never been here before. So I don’t understand why I am having these visions. I also have been having these unusual dreams about this place. A man and a room, but the room in my dreams has not yet been discovered in this house. I think it might be the room that is locked with a huge padlock and has ‘Do not open’ scratched into the wooden door.
“Galaxy, could you please come down stairs and help unpack so we can start getting this house renovated.” Dad said. He had been saying the same thing for the past 3 hours and I just wasn’t interested.
That night just as I was falling into deep sleep I was awoken by a nightmare that had me calling for mummy and daddy. I was cold, sweating and as white as a ghost. It was like the past four days, mum and dad ran in a comforted me until I had calmed down then went back to their side of the only non-destructed room in the house. There was one thing on my mind constantly though and it was bugging me. Who was the man in my nightmares?
I ran inside as it started to pour down rain and sat at the table with mum and dad. They were sitting there staring out the window, probably trying to figure out what to do while the weather was bad. “Mum, I was wondering if I could ask you something.”
“Sure, what is it?” I pulled out the drawing that was in my pocket, unfolded it and handed it to mum, as dad moved to see what it was. Mum instantly stiffened and tension started to build in the air as she stared at the drawing.
“Who is that? I need to know who he is. He is in every nightmare I have had in the past week and I scarily enough recognise him from somewhere.” I said, a tear rolling down my cheek. I couldn’t care that I was now sobbing, I was too scared, mum and dad were keeping something from me and I could tell by the look that they gave me when they lifted their eyes from the picture to me.
“I know you know something and I want to know.” I said blankly.
“Okay, we will tell you on one condition. You never go behind that lock door.”
“It’s locked I can’t get in anyway”
“When you were 2 you were kidnapped by a man named Brian, after we came here and you started acting oddly, we pieced it all together that this is where you were bought”, mum continued to explain everything as I just sat there and tried to process all of this as the tears fell one by one.
After another week of this house we had found another cornered off room that wasn’t on the blueprint. It was a small bear room with only a window on the far side from the door. I went in first while dad went to tell mum about the discovery. I walked over to the window and stared out into the rain. Something caught my eye as I spined around examining the room. It was a box, just one lonely dusty box. I slowly walked over and lifted the lid off. Inside was what made me freeze. I couldn’t move a muscle, there inside the box was a small blanket, my blanket, the one from my dreams and nightmares, I was always carrying that blanket with me.
I wanted to know more. I wanted to know more about the man that kidnapped me and about the history of the house. Who used to live here? Why did the man bring me to this house?
My parents did what they do best after our conversation. We moved house, again. We all moved to another house, one that was completely perfect. I still had those nightmares occasionally but I was better. It only took a two week holiday in Greece and a completely new wardrobe.
