Chapter Three: Secrets Are Revealed

"You need anything else sweety", my mom asks

I shake my head, starring at the ground, gripping the mug feeled animal blood in my hands. My mom sighs and says

"Jessica".

I weakly look up at her and she smiles as she says

"What you did today was good-- you got here before anything bad could happen-- I'm proud of you".

I smile slightly as i whisper

"thanks mom".

She nods, blows me a kiss, which i catch, and leaves my room. Closing the door softly behind her.

After i ran out of the school i came right ran right home without a breather. My mom understood right away, gave me a mug felled with animal, and sent me to my room to calm down.

I've been sitting up here all day, and my mother just came up here to tell me that dinner was going to be ready shortly.

I lift my mug up to my lips and let the sweet substance inside pour down my throat. This only my second time drinking blood, the first time was when i was five and i attacked our neighbor's annoying dog.

THUMP!

I lower my mug from my lips and look up at where the sound came from. My balcony.

THUMP! THUMP!

I immediately stand up, a loud growl coming out my mouth and use my demon speed and in no time in in front of my balcony doors, swinging them open.

Instantly wind blows against me, my hair blowing back and i ignore it stepping into the dark windy night.

Out of no where an apple rooms towards me. I frown and easily catch it. I look down at it in confusion but look up when someone streaks

"Jessica watch out".

My eyes go wide when i see Catty jump off a branch from the apple tree by my balcony and she slams right into me. Us both tumbling onto the floor.

We land with a loud BANG, and she lands on top of me but instantly i flip us so that in laying between her legs, with my hand over her mouth.

My mom shouts from down stairs

"Jessica--what's going on up there".

I bite my, rolling my eyes and then shout back

" Nothing mom--i just tripped-- everything's ok".

There's a faint "ok" and i uncover Catty's mouth, sitting back as i say

"Kitty what are you doing here".

She props herself up on her elbows and says

"I had to see if you where ok Jess".

I chuckle and say

"You know this house has a door right".

She rolls her eyes and says

"Duh i already tried that but your mom said this wasn't a good time".

I frown slightly and say

"So you climbed my apple tree, and threw apples at my balcony window until i came out".

She laughs and says

" Pretty much--- so uh are you ok-- you seemed pretty shaken up when you ran out of the gym".

I stand up and hold a hand out for her to take, which she does, and i pull her up as i say

"Kitty i promise you--im ok--ok---its nice though that you came here to check on me--it tells me that i can really trust you and that you'll tell me anything".
