This is the story of Minah. Minah Fey Dahlberg, younger sister of Adam Dahlberg (also known as the famous gaming YouTuber Skydoesminecraft). Or you probably know her as the YouTuber Mimi Playz (formally known as Mimi Minecraft & Gaming).
She’s gone through a LOT throughout the years. From being abandoned by her anonymous & unknown family at an orphanage to waiting in that same orphanage, to be adopted, for more than ten years. From making best friends in that orphanage and then unfortunately having to leave them. From finding out she has a biological brother to figuring out that he’s also a famous YouTuber. From creating her own YouTube channel to getting stuck in a love triangle with three boys.
So, so, so many things have occurred. And her story is STILL going! But, for now, we’ll start on how this all started. Where, you might ask? Well… It ALL begins the day that she was abandoned at the Happy Hearts Orphanage, abandoned by her family.
It was a dreary, rainy day. Dark rainclouds resided everywhere on the dark sky above, blocking the Sun from shining. A light drizzle of rain plinked onto the ground. It was almost entirely quiet, except for the sound of rain dripping onto the sidewalk. Nearly everyone was in their homes, apartments, houses, et cetera. Some spending time with family, others cuddling in front of the fire.
All of a sudden, in the horizon, there was a shadow belonging to a figure. A young female adult, clutching a tight bundle of blankets to her chest. She dashed on the sidewalk, pulling her jacket hood tightly over her head. Suddenly, she stopped in front of a tall building.
The building was about three or four levels tall. It was made of red brick. There were vinyl windows, with gray shutters on both sides of each window as well as flower boxes below most of the windows (only the windows on the 1st and 2nd floor). Above the front door, there was a light-up sign, most of the lights flickering and/or dead due to old light bulbs. The sign read, “The Happy Hearts Orphanage.”
The lady quietly walked up the stairs to the front porch. She set the bundle of blankets onto the welcome mat placed right in front of the door. As she did so, the bundle shifted by itself. A soft whine came from underneath the blankets. The lady stared at the bundle, before she sighed and bent down. She placed a little letter into the folds of the top blanket. Once that task was completed, she stood up tall and hesitantly pressed the doorbell. A ringing noise came from inside the orphanage, loudly and obnoxiously. The woman glanced once more at the bundle of blankets, before turning around and sprinting off into the distance.
The door slowly opened and a face peeked out from the edges, before fully opening the door. She looked side-to-side, to see nobody around. At least, that’s what she thought…
A slightly muffled cry rang from below. The lady jumped slightly in shock, before looking down to see the bundle. A small hand made its way out from the blankets and revealed itself outside. The hand waved around as whatever was inside continued to cry softly. The lady’s eyes widened, before bending down to gently pick up the blankets. She unwrapped a portion of the blankets to see…
A baby, appearing to be around the young age of two years old. She had soft wisps of golden-brown hair. Big and bright chocolate-brown eyes. Light, almost pale, skin. Freckles dotted across her rosy cheeks. Tears welled up at the corners of her eyes, and streamed down her sweet, baby face.
The lady awww’ed at the sight of the young child. At the sound of the lady’s awe, the baby softly ceased its crying and stared up at the stranger. After observing the lady who was holding her, she burst into giggles and smiled. The baby reached her hands out towards the lady, attempting to grab the lady’s long hair. The lady laughed softly at the young baby’s cute antics.
That was when the lady quickly noticed the small letter in the folds of one of the blankets. After shifting the baby as well as the bundle of blankets to rest in the crook of her left arm, she used her free arm to gently pull out the piece of paper and she clumsily unfolded it (since she was only using one arm). Once it was unfolded, she quickly read the scribbled and messy words scrawled on the paper in disorganized cursive. The letter said…
“This girl’s name is Minah (pronounced “Mean-Uh”). Just Minah. She’s too much of a hassle for us to keep her. Now, you get to deal with this piece of trash. Good luck.”

P.S. We won’t be coming to adopt her. Never.Once she was done reading the anonymous letter, the lady sighed and tucked the piece of paper into her pocket. She smiled sweetly once more at the baby, who was now identified as “Minah.” The lady turned around, and entered the orphanage with Minah snuggled in her arms. The door shut firmly behind them. And thus, begins the story of Minah.
