I sat quietly in my bedroom, scrolling through my Quotev feed on my cell phone. I had just recently moved to a new town with my grandparents. Where to, you might ask? Well, a small town called South Park. It was a somewhat weird name, but I decided not to question it.
It was my 2nd day here, and I was already wanting to be back home. Yesterday, for my 1st day, I spent the entire day in the house. Helping my grandma, joking with my grandpa, cleaning, reading, watching YouTube. Basically... Being antisocial.
But, since it was now my 2nd day, I had a feeling that my grandparents would try to convince me to go outside and make some friends. Or at the very least, just explore the town. But, I sure as heck did NOT want to do that. Let's just say... I'm not the best person to put in a social situation... I'm fairly quiet, and shy. Not to mention that I stutter whenever I get nervous (which is a LOT). So, I was ready to do whatever it took to NOT go outside.
"(Y/n)? Can you come down here, sweetie?" I heard my grandmother call from downstairs. "It's the first phase. First, they're going to be all sweet and cheerful. And then... They're going to kick me outside." I thought to myself. Nevertheless, I got up off my bed, and headed downstairs.
Once I was downstairs, I headed straight into the kitchen, where I knew for a fact my grandmother was. I found her cooking dinner at the stove. "Yeah, grandma?" I spoke up, since she hadn't noticed that I was there yet. At the sound of my voice, she turned around. "Sweetie? Can you go to the supermarket for me? I need some more flour for the bread." My grandma asked. "Or... She'll just ask me to go to the store..." I contemplated whether or not I should go. I was about to decline, but that's when it happened... She started doing the "pleading face."
"I'm too old to go out alone, and your grandfather sure as heck isn't getting up anytime soon." I glanced at my grandpa, who was lounging on the sofa in the living room, absorbed in whatever was on television. I laughed softly, knowing that once papa was comfortable, he definitely wasn't going to move anytime soon. I looked back to my grandma. "... Fine."
Soon afterwards, I was on my trek to the nearby supermarket. It wasn't that far away, so I quickly entered and purchased what was listed on my grandma's shopping list (which wasn't much). I bought flour, sugar, a small carton of milk, some hot cocoa mix for me, marshmallows for me, and some candy.
I started to walk back to our house, when I came across a sweet coffee shop. "Tweak's Coffee," said the sign. "Mmmm... Some hot cocoa would taste great right now..." I contemplated whether or not I should go in. Soon enough, I decided to enter and order myself a nice, warm cup of hot cocoa.
Once I entered Tweak's Coffee, I could immediately smell the bitter scent of coffee. I breathed it in deeply, though I could smell a weird substance in the air. I shrugged it off, walking up to the cashier.
The cashier was a cute, blonde boy who looked to be around my age. His shirt buttons were either buttoned incorrectly or were missing from the shirt. His blonde hair was extremely messy. But, in my eyes, he was pretty gosh dang cute.
I nervously walked towards him, stopping at the counter. He didn't notice me at first, but once he did, he jumped slightly. "S-Sorry!! W-What c-can I get f-for y-you?" The boy asked, twitching from time to time. "Awwwww~! He's adorable~!" I said in my head, before ordering. "C-Can I get a h-hot cocoa a-and... A (favorite flavor) muffin, p-please?" "Crap! I stuttered!!" The boy nodded his head, somehow ignoring my stutter, and got to work on preparing my order.
However, as he was preparing my order, some boys arrived and caught his attention. "Yo, Tweek!" A boy with brown hair and attire consisting of red and blue exclaimed (this is Clyde). "Tweek" turned his attention to them. "H-Hey, g-guys." The boy quickly noticed me, staring expectantly at Tweek to finish making my hot cocoa.
"Ooooo~! Look at this hot chick that Tweek's got~!" Upon hearing this, Tweek started to freak out. "S-She is n-not m-mine! G-GAHHH!!! T-TOO M-MUCH P-PRESSURE!!!!" My eyes widened at Tweek freaking out, and I immediately went into my dreaded "Mother Mode."
"It's a-alright! T-Tweek, right?" I started to slowly calm Tweek down, as I somehow managed to wrap my arms around him. Meanwhile, the group of boys just stared at the sight of me hugging Tweek.
A short while later, I had received my order, and was now seated at a booth in the coffee shop. Suddenly, the boy from earlier (Clyde) appeared and he sat next to me. "So, normally I don't do this, but... I can tell Tweek's got a thing for you, sooo... Yeah, here's his number." The boy shoved a piece of paper into my hands.
"U-Uhhhh... W-What?" I questioned, but the boy shushed me. "Just go and call him, I'm 100% sure that you two would make an ADORABLE couple! Bye!" The boy then rushed off. I looked down at the slip of paper in my hands, blushing at the thought of the cute blonde cashier.
