A woman walked out of the door in the corner of the waiting room."Hansel and Gretel!" She called.
The twins got up. As they walked into the office, they saw an old man. "Hi. You must be Hansel and Gretel. My name is Dr.hilfreich, I'll be your therapist. You both can have a seat on that red sofa." He said, in a warm voice. They both glanced to the side, seeing the velvet red sofa. They both took a seat. "So, why are you here?"
Gretel nudged Hansel. "Well..." he muttered "We grew up poor. Our father and mother could barely feed us all. One day my mom decided to drop us off in the woods so that they only had to pay for food for themselves. Me and Gretel left a bread crumb trail, but birds had eaten the trail by the time we had tried to go back. Because of that, we got lost."
Dr.hilfreich scratched many notes onto his paper. "And how does that make you feel?" He said, looking up at them. "Well... it made us feel abandoned. Like nobody cared about us."
Hansel said. Dr.hilfreich looked at Gretel. "You've been very quiet. Why don't you tell me what happened after that."
"U-um." She stuttered. "Well, we saw a-a bird. I think it was a do-dove"
Dr.hilfreich looked up "Do you have a stutter?" He asked.
Hansel spoke before Gretel could. "Yes. Since what happened she has had trouble speaking to people she doesn't know."
"Okay" he said. "I'll try to get her into a speech therapy program, continue Gretel."
"W-well we fal-f-fallowed the bird because we th-thought it was pre-pretty. Th-the bird led us t-to a house ma-made of candy. We kn-knocked on the door an-and an old lady respo-responded."
She began to tear up. "I'll say the rest" said Hansel.
"When we went on the lady claimed she would feed us well, and give us shelter. We where overjoyed to hear it, but then one week later..."
Hansel struggled to continue.
"she asked Gretel to help her get something out of the oven, but as Gretel helped she shut the door on her. I had to run at the oven door to open it. Gretel ran out, burnt on her leg. The old woman tried to push us in, but together we..."
He went silent. "You what?" Dr.hilfreich asked.
Gretel looked up. "We push-pushed her in-into the ove-oven. I still remem-re-rember the blood curd-curdiling screams." Gretel said, now choking through tears.
Dr.hilfreich wrote more notes until he finally spoke. "I have a few things that you have to fill out." he ripped out two pages from his notebook.
"fill this out and I will use it and my notes to give you both a diagnosis, come back tomorrow to give me the full thing filled out, and then I'll be able to tell you a schedule for Gretel speech therapy. He said.
"Bye!" Hansel and Gretel said in sins.
