Back to School Shopping!!! ...Yay...?

While Dili and Ally looked and fawned through the clothes, Sal rolled her eyes.

"C'mon, Mari, let's go check out the books," she said as she grabbed Mari's shoulder. Mari shrugged her off but readily agreed.

"Here's a copy of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! We should totally get this," Sal said, flipping through the book.

"Whatever... We already have Harry Potter books," Mari grunted.

"Not this copy, though. Hey! I used to read these books when I was little," Sal picked up The Orange Outlaw, a book from the A-Z Mysteries. "I seriously did. I remember one time, when I was reading another -"

Sal was interrupted when Ally came along and snickered.

     "Sal?"

     "Yeah?"

     "Sal..."

     "What?"

"Nevermind." Ally grinned as she walked away.

"No! Ally, come back! What were you going to say?"

But Ally just laughed and kept on walking. Sal looked at Mari but Mari just shrugged her shoulders.

"Hey, Sal?"Mari said as she grabbed another book from the bookshelf.

     "What is it now?"

     "Can I push the cart?"

"No, you'll hurt somebody. You seriously have no self-coordination."

     "Yeah, I do!"

     "Whatever."

"If you let me push the cart, I'll give you my new book."

"Oh? Which one?" Sal asked, suddenly sounding interested.

"The Son of Neptune, by Rick Riordan."

     "Yes! Deal! Of course!"

"Okay, I get to push the cart now!"

"Whatever, just don't hit me and you're good," Sal said as she ran away.

Sal found Dili, Ally, and Ellie at the pencil cases section.

    "What's up, guys?" Sal greeted.

"The sky!" Ally and Ellie say at the same time, both smiling at their "brilliance."

"There's a point where that joke gets old, you know," Dili informed her two younger sisters.

"Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know some VERY good news," Sal grinned.

When no one replied, Sal huffed impatiently.

"Is no one going to ask me what my VERY good news is?"

Sal was met with more silence.

"Seriously, guys?" Sal rolled her eyes.

"Honestly, I was going to say that no one cares and that you have no life, but then I decided that that would be mean," Ally told Sal.

Sal glared. "Thank you for that."

     "No problem, Salome!" Ally grinned.

     Salome made a face.

"Don't call me that, Al. I hate my name," Sal said.

"What's the VERY good news, Sal?" Ellie asked, dropping her favorite pencil case into the shopping cart.

"Oh, yes!" Sal brightened as Dili and Ally sighed.

"Mari gave me The Son of Neptune in exchange for me letting her push the other cart!" Sal grinned.

Ally stared at her older sister blankly.

"Like I said, the thing about no life."

"Rude, much?"Sal stuck her tongue out at Ally as Mari walked up to the rest of her sisters.

"You all hanging without me? I'm hurt," Mari feigned a heartbroken look as she put both hands against where her heart was.

     "Good," Ally muttered.

     "Hey!" Mari looked at Ally.

"Next section!" Ellie said as she pulled Sal with her to the next section, where all the writing utensils were.

On the way, Mari kept bumping into Sal with the car.

"Umph. Ow! Umph. Ow! Mari, would you stop hitting me? Ow!" Sal groaned.

     Mari just laughed.

"Owwwwwww! Mari, you really hit me that time!" Sal rubbed her ankle.

"You guys got too many books! Don't we already have this?" Ally asked, holding up The Goblet of Fire.

"Nah. We have the blue one, not the green one..." Sal said as she continued looking through the #2 pencils.

"Hurry up! I'm already done!" Ellie complained to her sisters.

"That's because you have nothing you need in the 1st grade. That's because that grade's the easiest and you're not smart," Mari retorted.

"I AM!!!" Ellie hit Mari's shoulder as the Mari laughed.

"Stop being such annoyers. I hate you guys," Dili sighed.

"Love you too!" Sal and Ally said at the same time.

"I'm done, let's go," Dili said as she dropped her items in the cart and pushed it to the next section.

"Just because you're done, doesn't mean the rest of us are done," Mari complained.

"I'm the smartest, so I need the most supplies, so I should've needed the most time to shop. You guys are chatting around too much, so that's why you're not getting your shopping done. I just want to go home," Dili said.

"Just because you're the smartest doesn't mean that you have the most supplies," Mari shot at Dili.

"That's literally what you explained to Ellie just now!" Dili said, irritated but amused at the same time.

     "Dili's right, Mari," Sal smirked.

"Whatever. Let's just go," Ally said, pulling her sisters with her to the next station.
