After two days...
Hinila ako ni Matt papunta sa isang liblib na lugar.
"Adreyanne." sabi niya.
"Yup?"
Matamlay ang itsura ni Matt. "We're leaving."
Aww. "Really?"
"Yes."
"Then we'll keep in touch through texting." ngiti ko.
"But still... I want you to know that I'm serious about what I said."
"Yeah. Yeah." sabi ko naman. Di nga ako sanay sa ganiyan, Matt. Grr ka naman eh.
"I love you."
Ihhhhhhhhh.
"Matt, I-"
"I just wanted to say it to you personally before we leave."
"Matt-"
"Bye." binitawan na niya ako.
Unti-unti na siyang lumayo sa akin.
"Matt, you idiot! I love you, too!"
Lumingon siya. "Really?"
"Yeah. Despite the fact that we have only met." ngiti ko.
Lumapit siya ulit sa akin at...
Kiniss ako.
Ihhhh. Oh my god. Hindi ko ineexpect ito.
"Then I love you, too..." ngiti niya nung brineak niya ang kiss.
"...So much."
Ngumiti nalang ako. "Yeah. Yeah."
Tumawa siya dahil sa reaction ko. "You're not used to this aren't you?"
"Oh, it shows?" sabi ko sarcastically.
"Bye, Adreyanne. Take care. I'll call you everyday." kumakaway siya habang tumatakbo papalayo.
"Bye, Matt!"
Then that's the last time I saw him.
~ After seven months ~
I returned to the beach.
Nasa tabing-dagat nanaman ako ngayon.
Nagmumuni again. Sitting at the same rock seven months ago when I had that talk with Matt.
Hay. Time sure flies.
I've been diagnosed with tubercolosis and I've had it for already a year now.
I don't have regular medicine because... Well... I'm a rebellious girl and I... Ah... Sometimes tend to 'forget' that I should take them.
But now I'm fine. I take my meds regularly and the doctor said I'll be fine in about three months.
"Adreyanne. Where have you been?"
Lumingon ako. "Hey, Nicole."
She's become more mature over seven months. Hindi ko nga alam kung paano pero ganun eh. Nagmature siya.
Sa wakas.
"I've been searching everywhere for you." sabi niya at naupo sa tabi ko.
The same spot where Matt sat.
"Geez. Malamig na. Go inside already."
"No."
"Why? You're waiting for that star again?"
