Chap 12
Cameron’s POV
“Of course she is, I can smell it.” I spat. “We don’t smell anything Cameron…” Axel looked at me worried. ‘Smells good.’ My wolf purred and I started to panic. ‘Is she our mate?’ I asked and he chuckled. ‘Who know? She hasn’t shifted but she smells nice, it’s a heat starting.’ My wolf purred back. I saw Star’s eyes roll in the back of her head before her knees buckled and started to fall; I caught her quickly and started to carry her out to my car.
‘Cameron, is she your mate?’ Axel asked through the link. ‘I hope not, I am guessing since I am the next Alpha my wolf smells her heat starting, get the pack doctor because I can tell she is about to start her transition.’ I told him through the link and he nodded and rushed off. I made it to m car until I heard the annoying sound of heels clicking.
“CAMERON! What are you doing with that slut! I am your mate and I order you to drop her!” Tami screeched and I growled at her, not liking her telling me what to do. I opened my door and placed an unconscious Star in the passenger seat and buckled her up, Tami cussing in the background.
“Tami shut the hell up! You are my girlfriend, not my mate. I only agreed to take you as my mate because you are good in bed and I haven’t found mine, I need to hurry and have my Luna before I can take the pack over! She is staring her transitions so I am taking her back to the house leave me the fuck alone.” I growled and opened my door until she slammed it shut, I was pissed.
“You dare disrespect me like that?! Once we mate I will whip you into shape, now leave the bitch to die.” Tami snarled. “I will kill you both before he take a cold hearted bitch like you to be Luna, you should care for each and every pack member.” Chance snarled. “You better learn your place, soon enough I will be your-“ - “You will be his nothing! Now back the hell off!” I snarled using my Alpha command and she bowed her head and ran off. “Better go now.” Chance sighed and I nodded and sped off.
The entire ride back to the house Star kept whimpering and groaning, I felt a tug every time, please don’t let her be my mate. ‘A mate is a special thing, even if she is our mate deal with it.’ My wolf snapped. I sighed taking a deep breath and groaned rolling the windows down.
A female’s first shift is signaled by her first heat. And her first heat is strong as hell! It makes all male wolves, mated or not, wants to mate with them. They can’t help it that is just how it is. And even with me being an Alpha my wolf wanted nothing more than to stop any she-wolfs heat if you get what I mean.
I groaned as it was getting stronger and stronger. ‘Dad, have mom clear out the house, Star’s heat has started and she collapsed, I am rushing her home now.’ I linked my father pressing harder on the gas. ‘Look at you, being the caring type.’ Dad chuckled back. ‘Old man, you better watch it. Tami might come around later, we had a disagreement and all.’ I sighed. ‘What about?’ Dad asked. ‘She wanted to be a bitch and try and tell me not to bother helping Star, but I don’t like people telling me what to do since I am the next alpha.’ I spat back..
‘Is Star your mate son?’ Dad asked and I growled. ‘No! Don’t even joke about that!’ I spat and he just chuckled. ‘You two act alike a perfect match.’ Dad spoke and I just tuned him out, she cannot be my mate.
Star’s POV
I woke up to an excruciating pain and being so hot. “Hey calm down.” That was Amy, I whimpered feeling hot and trying to rip the blankets off. “Cameron! Bring me a wet cloth now! Hurry! Calm down sweetie, you are going through a shift. You need to keep the blanket on. The heat you are feeling is well your first heat. Everything will soon make since.” Amy cooed as there was a knock on the door.
“Mom, the cloth.” It was Cameron’s voice, he sounded so stiff and moody. I whimpered as the pain increased and I heard him curse and the door was slammed and I heard bolts being locked. “Son, do you really think that is a good idea?” Amy herself sounded stiff as she talked to him. “Yes, to keep the other males out to protect her during her first shift and heat.” Cameron had all but spat.
“I mean locking you in her while it’s her first heat.” Amy said in a duh tone. “Dam!” Cameron cursed more and I screamed as I felt a tearing sensation in my skin. “The shift has started.” Amy sighed. “I need to go-“ Cameron spoke but that made me whimper and he sighed and placed the cloth on my head as his mother tried to keep the blanket on me.
“Don’t…..go…..don’t…leave me….she……left me….please…” I begged through the painful gasping and screaming. “Shit! No this no!” Cameron growled out and I felt the tearing get worse as sickening cracking was heard. “Cameron are you?” Amy gasped and he continued cursing up a storm.
After what seemed like forever the pain finally subsided and I realized that I was standing on all fours. I went to try and stand but seen paws and a tail. “She is gorgeous…” Amy cooed smiling at me and there was a low growl. “Mine.” Cameron growled and slowly as if I would attack him, he knelt down and wrapped his arms around my neck, I was confused.
I went to ask him but only a whimper came out, what?! “She is confused. She hasn’t yet realized she is now a wolf.” Amy giggled and Cameron whined but anywhere he touched me there were these electrifying sparks everywhere. ‘What is going on, I’m a wolf?’ I wanted to ask but it only sounded in my mind. ‘We are wolves, I am your wolf spirit and we are one dear.’ A voice sounded in my head but it spooked me and I jumped back and a yelp left my lips as a confused look came across Cameron’s face.
“Her wolf must have spoken to her dear. Look at her face and you can tell. Cameron, you can’t stay in here with her, it’s her first heat and the way you two have been so harsh.” Amy tried to talk to him but he only growled causing me to growl at him because Amy actually looked scared. “Star do not growl at me, I am keeping my own wolf at bay from claiming and marking you right now.” Cameron groaned. “She is freaking out right now; calm her down her heart is going way to fast!” Amy started to panic and I looked confused. Cameron walked over to me and wrapped his arms back around me but that made me confused but I felt my body relax. I even purred?
“I will explain everything once you are shifted and changed; think of how you look human.” Cameron spoke softly and I whined and tried, but didn’t work. “Come on Star, you can do it, think of how you look. Think about your se-your body and hair and appearance.” Cameron coughed. I growled knowing what he would have said but also blushed.
This time it worked, but I shifted into my nude self. I quickly tried covering myself from Cameron as he wrapped a soft and warm blanket around me. It made me itchy even though it was soft causing me to groan and try to rip it off me but remember that I am naked underneath. “Please deal with the blanket, clothes would feel worse on your skin, well that’s what mom says. Please just leave the blanket on Star.” Cameron’s voice sounded strained.
“Hurry and tell me what the hell is going on? I just shifted into a fucking wolf and now I am really struggling not to strip naked in front of you and well you know!” I snarled and he groaned biting his lip. “Don’t get any ideas you fucking man whore!” I snarled but felt a blow to my chest as I said that. “You already gave me so many love.” Cameron growled his eyes flashing colors.
