Just That Kind of Person

It was just a normal day, mom making breakfast, and dad getting ready for work. I got up knowing that today was going to be exactly like the rest. "Jack!!! Hurry up and get ready for school! I still need to drop your brother," mom yelled. Then I felt a chill rush up my spine, I had just remembered, it's the first day of school. I quickly washed up, grabbed my breakfast, and rushed out before my mom could say anything.

I figured I would walk to school since mom still had to drop James. It was warm outside, it was quite dim for a cloudless sky. I couldn't think about making friends at that moment. I mean, why even try? I never made friends at any of my other schools. I have been bullied ever since first grade, and just my luck, my bullies were attending the same school as me. I kept my mind on what I would do to avoid them. Should I always stay near the teacher? No, that would only work during school... I was so caught up in thinking about the bullies, that I didn't even know where I was going.

"Of course..." I muttered. And there, the people I feared most, were standing right in front of me. I quickly ran, "Hey! Where you going, you little twerp!!!" Simon yelled. They obviously were gaining, I mean, I'm antisocial, I never go anywhere. I'm the type that stays inside playing video games all day. Luckily, I was able to make it to school before they caught up. I rushed in and headed for class. Thankfully, I made it right before the late bell. RIIIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!! The bell went. I glanced around the room, everyone looked friendly, except for one corner, where I never hope to have to go near.

I always take the bus at the end of the day, I was really glad to know Simon and his idiot friends didn't realize I was on the bus. How, you ask? Because all I had to do was lean against the window with a jacket over my head. I guess, you can say normal people do that when they sleep.  I finally arrived home, I ran inside, went upstairs, and plopped like a dead fish onto my bed. Then I got up and started playing video games. "Dudddeee!!! I totally was close to passing that level against that freak monster!!" said Ryan. There was a little static when someone talked because I accidentally dropped my headset, I've been doing my chores so I could earn an allowance to buy a new one. "I really need to get a new headset, I can barely understand you..." I said tiredly. "What's wrong with you? You're always tired. What do you do all day, run up and down your stairs?" Ryan said. "I don't know," I said. "I guess I'm just that kind of person."
