Chapter Three

I really hope y'all like this!

-Anna'a Point Of View-

I grab my laptop and plop down on the chair. This effing 3,000 word paper about some chemistry junk will kill me. Just as I'm starting to get ideas formed in my head, I see a glint of light. When I look up, Josh is smiling at me as if he is in admiration. I get up and walk over to the couch, where he is laying and I lie down beside him.

My back is pressed against him and I can feel his breath on my neck.

"Thank you for staying with me," I whisper to him.

I catch a little sentence as I fall asleep-

"I always will."

"Mommy. Mommy, why are you on top of Mr. Josh?"

My eyes flutter open and I literally jump off of the couch. Lana is in front of the couch, holding her doll in her hand.

"I fell asleep, it's all okay?"

She giggles and runs into the kitchen.

"Babe, can I shower here?'

"Of course."

I kiss him on the cheek and go to my bathroom to get ready. Once I'm ready, I step out of the bathroom and see Josh in my bedroom with just his boxers on. Holy hell.

"I need to get Lana to day care and get breakfast, so we need to hurry," I tell him.

"What's wrong? You look stressed," he asks me.

"Just tired. I have so much to do today, it's crazy."

"Well, how about afterward, we get a babysitter and we go relax somewhere?"

"That sounds amazing."

We walk out of the door, him holding Lana with one hand, and my waist with the other.

When I step into the building, it's chaos. Costumes are unorganized, food is on the set, people talking loudly to each other. Two steps into the building and everything falls silent. Every eye is on me, so I keep walking and pray that something else will catch their attention. My friend Emily grabs me by the arm and drags me to my office.

"Why is everyone looking at me like I'm a zombie?"

"Have you seen the news? Perez or E!?"

"No, what?"

"Sit down," she hands me the phone and I almost drop it.

Lana, Josh, and I this morning at Starbucks. We are holding hands and hugging, he's giving me the look that is every girls dream.

"E! News, special tonight. An entire segment is dedicated to you."

I hear Josh's footsteps approaching the door.

"Your new boss needs to speak with us," he says with a shaky voice.

He grabs my hand and we walk down the hallway, both shaking. We get inside of the office and sit down.

"Hello, pleasure to meet you both. We need to talk business." She looks at me closely, "Is it true that you are in a relationship?"

"Yes." I whisper.

"Is it true that you were sexually involved with your previous boss?"

"Yes."

"According to these reports, there have been complaints of behavior issues. I'm very sorry Ms. Harper, but I'm going to have to let you go. Thank you so much for your great service and dedication."
