Chapter - 3

YAVANA RAJYA:

"How is his future Guru ji?" Rani Aadarshini asked the royal astrologer.

It had been almost a fortnight since Kiyan left for Mushika, and there was a message from him that he will be returning back in a day or two.

He also assured them he has found his solution for his curse and had been able to get his Nanashri's blessings.

Things were getting smooth in Yavana.

Rani Sadhika couldn't wait to see her son. More than that, after so many years they got guts to check Kiyan's birth chart. They kept avoiding it, as they feared to hear the worse. Now that things were getting better they couldn't wait to know about his future. They wanted to know how long his life ray would sustain now. They were eager to get him married off and learn when the next generation line will start. They could not wait for the prosperous that was to loom above their head.

"Rani Aadarshini, there is no doubt that Rajakumar Kiyan has long life. But the next couple of years will be his life's most difficult phase. If he happens to cross this phase successfully, he definitely will rule over Yavana. But this phase isn't that easy Rani ma."

"Without pain, there is no gain Guruji. My son is a born warrior."The king proudly said as he joined his queens.

He had returned from his court meetings only then and was equally excited to hear the prophecy of his son.

"Greetings Maharaja"The Royal astrologer and others in the queen chamber greeted him.

"Its fine Guruji, tell us about his marriage. When is he going to get married and from which direction the future queen of Yavana is residing now?"Sadhika posted her concerns.

The royal astrologer took few minutes before he concluded things in front of the royal family.

"Rani ma, the love lines have started to glow in his birth chart. I assume the prince has already met or in a couple of weeks is gonna meet his life partner. There is no doubt that the heir of Mushika will be created by the end of next Karthigai. But there are few hardships as I had said earlier for both the prince and his heir to face. Only if they survive they have a life. There are chance either one of them to lose their life. It all lies in the hands of God." The astrologer pronounced as he went through the prince's birth chart for nth time, to make sure he wasn't giving any false hopes or worries.

"What are those problems Guru ji?"Sadhika asked out of worry as she was only now getting hope to see her son live peacefully.

"That I can't predict Rani ma. Forgive me. There are certain things that are beyond human's imagination. I assume one such is what gonna take place now. But with full trust in god, the prince will survive it with help of someone special."

"Its okay Guru ji. I am sure Rajakumar Kiyan will survive this phase. Here have this Guruji"Maharani Menaha gifted him with coins as she was pleased to hear about Kiyan's possible happy future.

"Rani Sadhika..... I can't wait to get a daughter-in-law. Mahamantri check in which so over rajya there are eligible brides. I want them all to be surveyed thoroughly. There shouldn't be any fault to be pin pointed at the future queen of Yavana." Menaha ordered as the queens floated in dreams.

"If there are more than one eligible bride, make sure we tie up with all of them."Aadarshini ordered.

"What do you mean by more than one bride? Oh Rani Aadarshini... Not once again... I atleast want my son to be peaceful.... One bride is far enough"Maharaja Devaapi mocked worrying his wives' craziness.

"Maharaja? What do you mean by peace? Aren't you in peace?"Menaha protested.

"Definitely not... See you and Rani Aadarshini, there isn't a single day where I have to go to bed without pacifying you both and solving your fights.... I want atleast my son to be happy... And oh my poor daughter-in-law... She needs to handle three mother-in-laws who are equal to three swords. Don't make her life hectic by adding more brides in my son's life. Let the young ones be happy." He joked as his wives felt ashamed for their acts.

"Maharaja...."Aadarshini retreated.

They laughed over their daily fights and how their daughter-in-law will manage them.

"Oh Guruji.... Even I wanna know.... How many are gonna capture my son's heart?"Sadhika asked as they couldn't wait to rule over their daughter-in-law.

"Rani ma.... I am not sure but I think even in the toughest situation, the prince will follow ekapatni vrata. "

"Well thats good..."The queens giggled over it.

"Maharaja, there is a messenger from Mushika Raajya" A dasi informed interrupting their family time.

"What message?"The King questioned.

"A swayamvara invitation for their princesses."

"Is it the swayamvara of my dear niece?"Sadhika exclaimed with happiness.

"Oh ho.... We discuss about Kiyan's wife and here we have Rajakumari Avantika's swayamvara invitation."Aadarshini dispersed the dasi with a gold coin.

"I have heard of the princess's beauty.... There is no match for her beauty in this entire bharat kanda...."Menaha proclaimed as she tried to recall details she once received through messengers and merchants who traded in Mushika.

"And her martial arts and wits is no less than her beauty. She has leaded wars that brought fortunes for the Mushikans."The King commented.

"Of course she is unique.... There is no doubt that she will become my Kiyan's lovable wife. Infact Kiyan has right over to get married to her.... I have never seen her but my heart tells she is the one who is gonna bring colours into our life.... Maharaja as soon as Kiyan returns, we all shall leave to Mushika.... I can't wait to get my son married to Avantika.... And it had been years since I visited my brother and my land. And-" Sadhika went on to blurt in excitement.

"Oh Rani Sadhika.... Relax.... This is just swayamvara invitation.... The bride has the right to choose her groom.... Don't get too enthusiastic...." Devaapi tried to control her.

"Who will say no to our Kiyan? Which foolish princess will say no to become the queen of the mightiest rajya of entire Bharat Khanda? There is no doubt Avantika is for our Kiyan. Maharaja do you doubt your son's quality?"Menaha retorted as the queens planned to make Avantika as theirs.

Despite ages, the Yavanas never left their greed to have the best as theirs. They always wanted to make the best as theirs rather than making the best out of theirs. Strange but that was something that hasn't changed over years. They projected themselves as someone superior and anything that threatened their superiority was either made as theirs or was crushed into nothing.

And they considered Avantika one such. But they failed to realize unlike land and objects, this time what threatened their superiority wasn't a mere object or a possession but a living soul. A fire born. A pure warrior and rebellion blood that if not handled with love and care will cause them only destruction.

"My dear queens..... Relax.... I understand your furor but wait for your son's safe return. Let me go and welcome the messenger and give him royal treatment. He is now our guest."Saying so Devaapi left to his court.

The melodrama of the queens didn't subside until the next day. They made preparations for their new bride. They were too confident to make Avantika as their yuvarani. They tried to get as much as details they could about Avantika. They also tried to make her portrait. They were on cloud nine until their worse fear came into reality!
