Cecil's POV

Running out the castle thoughtlessly, did came with consequences.

It was freezing out here. But there was no turning back. I clutched my arms together and ran.

I found my ways to the shore, and its strangely surprising that nothing attacked me. Were they sleeping? It doesn't matter. I better hurry up before something prevents me from departing.

I glanced around desperately in need of a boat. The one that Mihawk had offered me was trampled on by those baboons.

Where was I supposed to get one now?

Ahaahh.

I got an idea.

If you thought running out of the castle was a reckless move... What would you say about this.

I grinned as I went into the sea. When the water reached my chest, I hopped unto my new boat.

I laid flat on my boat and used my hands as ores for it.

If you're curious about my boat, its actually the log I drifted here on. It was 5ft long and 11 inches wide, enough for me. Well its gonna be my ride out of here.

I call it the logarazidea.

Yah... Sue me. Its a log... And its a crazy idea. See where I got the name?

I paddled with my hands as the waves gave me a very difficult time. Looking back, I couldn't see the island in the dark, but I knew it was somewhere back there.

"Good bye Gloom Island.... I hope we never meet again" I whispered silently to the thin air. "Good bye Mihawk. It was truly horrible meeting you."

Pffft... I started grinning at my own words. What was I even saying. He wasn't that bad... He did save my life, which he took advantage of by making me clean his stupid castle. I had to make my own food. He treats me horribly and....

My eyes started filling with water again. Soon enough I'm contributing a lot of unwanted salt water to the ocean.

Why was I crying?

Was it the thought of him or...was it the thought that I'm in the middle of nowhere, with no land in view.

As if on cue, the waves just started getting wild. I was almost thrown from the log. if I hadn't held on with dear life, that would have sealed my faith.

I knew coming out here was a stupid idea......

I kept paddling with my hands. I'm sure that I'll end up on an island soon.

But I doubt I would survive for long, the waves didn't show any sign of abating and the rainy winds were already raking at my face.

A wave of sorrow filled me, as my logarazidea started rocking violently. It was obvious I had no chance of surviving.

Soon enough, my board flipped over, throwing me into the water, but I never let go.

I resurfaced and spat out water. My ears felt heavy and my nostril had this burning sensation. I was drifting closer to death, but I have much faith in logarazidea as long as I didn't let go.

I won't give up. I won't gi.... Another wave drowned out my thoughts and I accidentally let go. Nooo....

I fiercely tried swimming up, but it's as if the water didn't want me to. I was suffering from lack of oxygen. I inhaled sharply, but only got water much to my dismay.

My vision got blurred as I slunk back feeling hopeless, just giving up. The sea had won.

But before I lost consciousness, I felt my body being yanked into the hard chest of someone.
