Johnny's POV

I woke up to the smell of bacon and pancakes, the usual first-day-of-school breakfast. Lauren was already awake but of course quirky. I sleepily ate my pancakes and went to my room to get dressed. For my first day of high school I had to dress nice to make a good impression. I chose to wear my favorite Anti Social Social Club shirt with ripped jeans and Doc Martens. Once I was ready I came downstairs to see the bus coming down the street so I grabbed my bag and waited outside. When I sat down on the bus I received a text message:

Mackenzie: Good luck on your first day! ☺️
Johnny: Thank you! I can't wait to go on tour. 😊
Mackenzie: Me neither. 💙

It was nice to have someone wish me a good first day since I was actually really nervous. I would think that when you're in high school people expect so much more than what you're capable of. I looked at my schedule to see where my first class was and it was science which isn't too bad of a start. I went through the first few periods just fine there wasn't any problems that I had and I was ready for lunch. When I got to the cafeteria I looked at all of the different groups at different tables. There was jocks, a homework table, you name it there a table there for it. All of a sudden I felt pressure on my back and I found myself on the ground. I looked back to see an older guy standing and laughing with a couple of his friends. I got up and brushed myself off heading out of the cafeteria. I checked my phone and sat in the hallway I wasn't really hungry.

Mackenzie: How's your first day going?
Johnny: It's going alright. Nothing too bad about this school.
Mackenzie: Well that's good! I'll be heading to Toronto at around 4. 😊

I was excited for Mackenzie to come to Toronto. We hadn't seen each other since we visited Poland to meet Bars and Melody. Before I could reply to Mackenzie the bell rang and we had to go to our next class. The last two periods were study halls so there was nothing really important going on so I was texting Mackenzie for the rest of the day. My mom texted me and told me that she was picking me up which made me feel a lot better because the bus ride was pretty rowdy. The final bell finally rang and I headed to my locker to get my stuff. I was pushed into my locker the second I opened it. I turned around to see the same guy from lunch. He looked at the picture of Mackenzie, Lauren and I and he held it up for everyone to see.

"Is that your girlfriend?" he said as he and his friends laughed.

I ripped the photo out of his hand, put back in my locker and smiled at him.

I headed out to the car and showed everyone around me that I was unbothered by what anyone had to say.

"How was your first day?" my mom asked.

"Pretty good." I replied.

I was ready to take a nap before rehearsal. When we got home I headed straight to my room to sleep...

"John, it's time to get up." Mackenzie said lightly shaking me.

I was pretty happy to see her and soon as I noticed that I was awake I gave her a hug.

"When did you get here?" I asked.

"Just now." she replied.

"Okay, I'm going to get dressed for rehearsals. I'll be right down." I said.

She smiled and then left. I slipped on some sweatpants and a different shirt to practice in. I headed downstairs and my mom was ready to drive us. We got in the car and my mom put on Drake which was a pretty good vibe to how this day was going. When we got to the rehearsal stage it was absolutely freezing but after rehearsals it didn't even matter. Something about practicing with Mackenzie makes my day a whole lot better.
