Last Time on Next Generation :
Elize squeezed my hand as we walked up to Chresanto's casket. It was closed with a big bouquet of flowers in the middle. My tears uncontrollably fell as we came closer and closer. "Stay strong, Tay."
I nodded a little and slowly walked up closer. I immediately visioned Chresanto's body inside. Lifeless and cold. My knees grew weak as I collapsed to the floor, crying hard. I didn't mean to cause such a scene, but I couldn't help the urge to break down. So many things have been going on in my life and this is what I have to show for it. A dead lover.
"Taryn," Elize came to the floor with me and placed her arms over my shoulders.
"Mom, get up." Jalen said as he held my arm to pull me up. I looked up at him, telling myself I had to stay strong for my sons. I knew they had a real close bond with Chresanto and this was tearing them up inside.
"It's alright." Jayden added, pulling me into a hug. Jalen came along and hugged me as well.
"Miss, would you like to say a few words?" The minister asked, looking at me with a hint of guilt in his expression.
"Yes, yes, of course." I wiped my tears quickly and walked up to the podium above his casket.
"Good morning, everyone." I looked into the crowd that consisted of friends, family, members of the Church who watched Chres grow up beside Mama August, neighbors and acquaintances who all knew Chresanto. All of his workers took up half the Church as well.
"First off let me just say thank you for coming so early. It's a little too soon since we lost another person dear to our hearts...thank God he's with her and they both are finally free from this cruel world." I sniffled.
"Chresanto wasn't the most easiest person to love. We had many ups and downs but at the end of the day, I love him and he loved me. He gave me two amazing sons and gave me a reason to keep fighting for our relationship. We were finally getting there... but God has a plan for everything and everyone. His plan was to take one back home. Hopefully his plan was for the better. We'll miss you Chres..."

I sat on the edge of the bed, slipping on my socks. I glanced at the time and saw it was eight in the morning. Dakota was sleeping naked with the sheets wrapped around her body. Even when her hair is a mess she looks beautiful. I smiled and slapped her leg, making her jump up. "What?"
I chuckled, "Wakeup you know we visit our parents every Sunday."
She sighed and slammed back down on the bed, "We don't got to go so early. After yesterday I don't feel like moving."
I smirked. Last night we fucked like crazy. She just came home all horny and basically attacked me. I never looked at Dakota to be the freaky type, but she definitely changed my point of view.
"You was begging for it and you know your wishes are my commands." I stood up and went over to my drawer. I opened it and slipped on a plain white T-shirt to go with my camo cargos.
"Hurry up and get ready." I walked out the room and into the hallway that led downstairs. I loved to visit my mom every Sunday. Today was her birthday and shes finally okay. She hasn't been herself during the first few months after my dad died. Now that its going on two years, she's been getting better. Before she wouldn't even get out of bed, but now she's being active since she's been seeing this guy, Chance Lowell.
I went downstairs and heard the shower go off. I had the urge to go up and get in with her, but if I tore that up now, we'd never get to go to see our family.
