"hannah come on we're going to be late!" called her mother from upstairs.
"COMING!" hannah yelled in response. hannah was going back to school today and she dreaded the idea of homework and ignorant people. "k mom...let's go!" hannah sluggishly puts on her backpack and hops in the car. on the drive to school her mom reminds her to try her best this school year and wishes her luck in all of her classes. "got it mom...thanks." she hops out of the car and walks into school.

"hey han" hannah's friend halle says as she walks up to her in the halls.
"yo" hannah and halle walk from their lockers to the lunch room together talking about how their first few hours went.

the two girls finish up their lunches sitting with and talking to sydney and kate.
"mrs. galack is already on my last nerve. i just want to stab her!" sydney spits out between bites of her sandwich. the girls laugh and exchange glances as the other girls at the table look at them strangely not understanding their humor. hannah looks across the lunch room and spots the back of a head.
"who's that?" hannah questions.
"you aren't gonna believe it!" kate says.
"try me..." hannah looks at kate almost challenging her to answer.
kate changes her voice to a low whisper so only the three other girls can hear her, "it's jaeden lieberher" hannah rolls her eyes and intentionally spills water on halle before leaving for her next class.

hannah sits down leaving a seat open next to her in her next class which happens to be english. the new boy walks in and sits next to her.
"who do you think you a-..." hannah begins to say until she and the new boy look into each other's eyes. her jaw drops and she turns a deep pink.
"uhm sorry...is this seat taken?" jaeden asks.
"no no. please sit! the name is hannah."
"hey hannah. i'm jaeden..."
"trust me...i know." she mumbles under her breath.

the school day is fin(n)ally over and hannah grabs her backpack before heading out to the bus.
"hannah?" someone calls from behind her. she snaps her head around to see jaeden.
"oh hey" she answers trying to conceal her fangirling. her and jaeden walk and talk all the way to the bus.
"i've gotta go jae...it's been great getting to actually know you!" hannah smiles and begins to turn to get on her bus.
"wait!" jaeden grabs her wrists and turns her back around before she can leave. without saying a word jaeden smashes his lips into hers and pulls away smiling.
"here's to a good school year!" jaeden winks at her as she turns around and gets on her bus, a huge smile plastered on her face. jaeden turns around to get to his bus and bumps shoulders with a short black haired boy who glares at him and keeps talking to his friends.

hannah gets home and walks inside.
"how was the first day?" her dad asks as she starts down to her room.
"decent..." she replies, turning away and going downstairs hiding her wide grin and bright red cheeks from her family.
