Chapter 9

Louis' P.o.v

"Damn it Peyton answer your phone,"

Niall said angrily.

"Any luck?" I asked reluctantly.

"No. Luke was supposed to bring her home last night and never did."

"Did you call Luke's phone?"

"Twelve times."

"I'll go get the other girls to help," I said with a sigh.

Peyton's P.o.v

I woke up next to Luke on his couch.

"Fuck! Luke you were supposed to take me home last night! Niall is going to kill me!" I screamed in his ear.

He jumped and slowly sat up rubbing his eyes.

"I'm so sorry! You fell asleep while we were practicing so I put you on the couch and then I fell asleep!"

"Great, now we're both dead."

"No no no, it's fine, we can just explain to Niall that we fell asleep."

"HE'S CALLING ME, ANSWER IT!"

"PEYTON WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?"

"It's Luke. Peyton was helping me write some new songs and we fell asleep. Don't be mad, I'm sorry!"

"I trusted you to bring her home, she was supposed to talk about stuff with you, not write songs!"

"I'm sorry! I don't know what to say!"

I felt bad for Luke. He's a sweet kid and now his best friend is mad at him.

"Luke, gimme the phone. I'll talk to him."

"No, it's my fault i'd rather have him be mad at me than you."

"Trust me."

"Okay I trust you."

"Niall? It's Peyton. I told Luke everything about what happened and since he helped me I decided to help him write some new music. Don't be mad. We didn't do anything bad, I actually had a lot of fun."

"Fine, I'm just glad you're okay. What advice did Luke give you?"

I looked at Luke with wide eyes. I completely lied to Niall and now I have to lie again.

"He uh-"

Luke tried acting out words and I had to keep myself from laughing.

"He told me that I should, uh, roll? No, sing."

Luke smacked his face.

"Roll? How did you even come up with that??

He pulled out a piece of paper and started scribbling words down. He shoved the paper in my face and pointed at the words. It read:

"Let it go"

"He said I should let it go and not let it bother me and that um he's here for me?"

He gave me a double thumbs up followed by a wink.

"Oh like from Frozen, I get it now."

Luke let out a laugh.

"Great to hear! Do you need me to come pick you up?"

"Luke said he can bring me back at one or he can just bring me to wherever we're camping."

"Okay, stay out of trouble."

"I will, bye!"

"Smoooooth." Luke laughed.
