The first ting he saw as he woke, was the face witch scared him the most. The same face that haunted his nightmares. A bloodcurdling scream ripped through his throat. Was he there to hurt him? Was he there to finish what his minors apparently couldn't do?
Jayy rushed to slap his hand over Dahvie’s mouth. The action seemed to scare the teen even more. He began trashing in the hospital bed. Nurses bursted into the room, The Shutcall screamed horrible profanities in his anger, assured them that only he could help the boy and they walked out again, reassured that the older boy had somewhat control over the traumatized boy. Both nurses had the experience in rape victims and they knew about the confusion and panic that came overt the victims and they knew that sometimes only a few people could get through to the traumatized person.
Jayy removed his hand from Dahvie’s face. He looked sympathetically at the younger man, eyes filled with fear and body completely frozen. As much as he wished to stay ignorant towards the thoughts that ran through his head he was sure he knew. Not only did The Shutcall know that Dahvie feared him, and the situation he was currently stuck in, but also he feared himself and would soon start to blame himself when he started to remember what happened.
He sat down in a plastic chair next to the hospital bed.
“I’m not gonna hurt you Va- Dahvie.”
His voice broke the silence in the white room. Dahvie trembled at the mention of the name Jayy had called him during all those terrible encounters. Jayy made a mental note to never call him by his last name. Ever again. He also made a promise to make who ever had the guts to call the other boy Vanity, swallow his fist.
Dahvie’s trembling and stammering pulled Jayy’s thoughts out of his violent, yet protective, mental promises. Jayy had to listen really careful to hear what he had to say, the stammering made it close to impossible to understand. Jayy could have smacked himself. Of course Dahvie wanted to know why he was there. But, what could he say? That he had saved him from the “bad” people? That he could have ended his pain a lot before, but he couldn't cause the whole scenery made the nightmares come back? Because he was frozen in spot?
“Did you mean it?”
“Did you mean it when you said you weren't gonna hurt me?”
“Yes of course.”
He looked down in his lap and nodded. By now, Jayy would have guessed that Dahvie trusted him on that point. Jayy melted inside at the boy in the bed. He could relate so much it hurt. Nobody could would never know just how much Jayys heart clenched for Dahvie. Based on his heartbreak for the younger boy, The Shutcall made the decision to tell Dahvie why he was still by his side. How he would never let anybody ever touch him ever again. He would tell Dahvie he would protect him form any harm from then on.
