Chapter 2

"Grace," she whispered. I just stared at her, I don't know what to say to her. It's been three years, three years I've prepared for this day for a long time but now that it's here I'm speechless. She took another step closer, then another. Soon she was standing in front of me with tears running down her face. "Grace, oh Grace..." she stopped, thinking about her words before starting again "Grace, I'm so sorry. That day he just came over and he asked me where my girlfriend was. And then when I told him it was not of his business he got angry. So when he heard the door opening he knew it was you and he kissed me. I tried to stop you from leaving, I just couldn't move. Dammit Grace, I miss you so much!" She yelled the last part tears falling freely.

"Alice, it was in the past, I moved on so should you." I lied to her. Truth is I don't think I could ever get over her, she's the love of my life. She hurt me though it's not something I can get over easily. She looked at me and threw her arms around my body sobbing before pulling my face in for a kiss. She spun around and took off out the doors she came in through, it was for the best. I pack up my stuff and make my way towards the exit, when I get out I see Alice's familiar car speeding out of the parking lot. I sigh and go turn around but lights catch my eye and as I scream "stop!" I watch as a truck slams into her car sending it flying through the air and rolling three times before it stops upside down.

"No!!" I scream as I take off running through the parking lot, my body guards hot on my heels. They must of known what I was heading for because four out of the six ran off ahead towards the car. When I got there they were gently pulling Ally out of the car. She laid motionless as I dropped to my knees beside her bloody body. I heard someone calling an ambulance and another was in front of me checking to see if she was still breathing. To my relief he told the others she was alive. I buried my head into her chest bawling my eyes out. I look for her hand, to find the engagement ring I had given her still on her hand. I have the matching one on mine.

"I'm so sorry Ally," I sobbed into her body. Finally the ambulance arrived, forcing me off her so they can get her on the stretcher. That's when I noticed the man who hit her standing by watching everything while a nurse checked him out. My body floated up towards him and before I can hit him somebody grabs me from behind.

"You fucking son of a bitch!" I yell trying to get after him. He smirks at me before laughing.

"What are you going to do you stupid Dyke," Rick slurred his words.

"You are fucking drunk!" I yelled at him furiously. I was soon pulled away towards the ambulance, I put up a fight but the bodyguards pushed me over there. One of the nurse looked at me.

"Who are you to her?" He asked blocking my way.

"Her fiancé," I growled at him. He quickly stepped aside and let me in I sat next to her and held her hand all the way to the hospital.
