Mendes 98

Chapter sixteen:

It  was Shawns birthday! I was so happy for him. The big nineteen! I rolled out of bed and put my slippers on and went out to the kitchen. I grabbed my keys and ran to my car. I drove downtown to the little shops. I ran in and looked around. 

-Hours Later-

I hung up  the final balloon and smiled. I had finished. The house looked amazing. My grandmother waddled over to me. "You love him, don't you?" She said. I smiled. "Yea, I do!" I said. A few minutes later, Shawn walked out, rubbing his eyes. "Hey, Charlotte." He said. "Hey, happy birthday, Shawn!" I said, hugging him. Shawn smiled and kissed my forehead. "You need coffee!" I said. Shawn nodded and I dragged him out to a Starbucks. We walked inside. I looked to my left to see a girl crying. My eyebrows clinched together and a frown formed. I know what to do! I ordered and paid then walked over to the girl, with Shawn behind me. "Hey, I'm Charlotte, I saw you looked really sad, so I bought you some donuts." I said setting the donuts down. The girl smiled at me with glassy eyes. "Thank you! I'm Nadia," she said. "And this is Charlene!" She said, cheerfully pointing to her friend. Nadia had hazelnut colored eyes, blonde and brown ombre hair, and was Latina with pale skin. Shawn turned to the girl. Her eyes got big and her mouth gasped open. "Sh- Shawn Mendes?" She said. Shawn smiled. "Yea" he said. Nadia stood up and hugged him. Shawn staggered back, but hugged her back. "I'm a huge fan!"She said. "Great, I love my fans!" I grinned. "Nadia, why dont you come over tonight, with your friend, were having a party for Shawn, since his birthday is today!" Nadia smiled. "Great!" I smiled. We walked out together. "That was nice of you" Shawn said. "It was your money, and plus she looked sad. And she got to met you!" I replied. We hailed a taxi and drove home.
