Under the Deathly Clouds
Debris of despair and suffering
prevails among men's own creation
that shrieks and crackles for domination
is alas subdue under the clouds of destruction.
They pummel through gates of confinement
but find themselves in a purgatory
as puppets in death's inventory
and ponder if they'll live to tell their story.
The curtains of chaos have fallen, at last
while he tries to salvage her only beauty
amid the ruins of men's hatred and cruelty
she is trying to preserve their last and only memory.
