First Date: Shawn Mendes

Tonight was the night you dreamt of for many years. You were going on your first date with your bestfriend. You guys weren't a couple, but he asked you out on an actual date. You always had a special place in your heart for Shawn, but didn't want to risk your friendship...

It was spring time, yet it was still a bit cold outside so you wore a long sleeve v-neck with a scarf and skinny jeans and boots. Shawn entered your house without knocking (since you were jusy that close) and you gabbed your bag to leave.

"Hey beautiful, you ready"

You blush and nod as you move a piece of hair out of your face. When you reach the car Shawn opens the door for you, which was no surprise he did that on the regular. He was literally the sweetest guy in the world.

You looked out the window curious as to where you guys were going. You guys arrived at the place you guys first met years and years ago. Your parents were family friends and threw your older brothers party at the skate rink about 10 years ago. And Shawn was one of the guest.

When you guys were inside you rented skates and went out on the ice. It was pretty easy for you except the fact you were shivering.

Before Shawn moved he removed his hoodie and handed to you. You loved wearing his hoodies because their amazing scent. After you had it on Shawn tried gliding on the ice but fell almost immediately. You giggled as he asked you for a hand up. Then he pulled you down with him. Once you guys got up you grabbed his hand.

"Here I got you, since you seem a little rusty"

Later when the place was closing he pulled you closer to him.

"I'm so glad you came here with me tonight and I just wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend"

"More than anything in the world I want to be your girlfriend.."

His eyes lit up at those words, but you had to be honest with him.

" but what if we don't work out? I don't want to loose my bestfriend"

"Trust me, I know you're worried, but (y/n) you know I'd never hurt you"

After that you realized he was worth the risk and closed your eyes to kiss him. He leaned down and kissed you.

"I've waited too long to call you mine"
