Rain crashes down against us, ricocheting in unpredictable directions. My clothes cling to my skin as if to leave no space in between. Powerful winds sway the trees back and forth as we race through the woods. My chest aches in pain as I run and I hear my heart beat as if it is going to explode out of my chest.

Don't look back. Don't look back! You can't do it! Keep going! Just keep going! We're almost there...

I tell myself. As I dash through the woods I slip on a boulder leaving me lying there in agony. I look over at him as he rips off his drenched, white tee revealing his irrisistable 6 pack underneath. He sprints over to me and pulls me up off the ground. He carries me in his arms while darting through the woods like a superhero. We reach the railroad tracks and he gently sets me down beside it.

" Are you okay? " he says in worry.

" Ya. I'm okay. But we have to hurry." I reply.

He sighs in relief that I am okay.

" I love you. " He whispers, still catching his breath.

He leans in to kiss me as my lips brush his. For that moment, it felt like all the world and all the bad things had gone away. Our mouths parted and we snapped back to reality before they caught us. By this time, I have gotten the feeling back in my legs again.

The train pulls up and we jump on. This is the escape. This is our escape. Our only hope. And our only way out. We are gone to somewhere that we don't even know yet. But where ever it is, it must be better than here.
