"Welcome to my world."The world he was welcomed into consisting of a long and dark corridor, 3 rooms and a basement. After passing the narrow, metallic corridor with fluorescents and doors of the rooms that are used for storage of equipment and food at both sides, they arrived in a half-circle shaped entrance that leads to three doors in front of them. Taehyung felt like he was rolled into a dark hollow and fell into Wonderland. Jungkook was already making him feel like he drank the whole 'Drink Me' potion. Taehyung wondered if he was the big bad dragon or just the white rabbit in this story.
But Taehyung was confused by another thing now. He'd thought he lived in a big fancy house, not in a room in the depths of this club.
"You live here?" Taehyung looked at Jungkook, "Why don't you stay at your home?"
"Here's my home," Jungkook responded while keeping the eye contact and added as tilting his head, "Does it matter by which four walls it's made to call a place home? "
That respond made Taehyung astonished. He intuited there's much more behind these words. He chose to approach gently.
"No, it doesn't. Even a person may be someone's home. I just thought like-
"You just thought like I was a little spoiled snob. One of that rich bastards." Jungkook was again doing that intense look. Taehyung was afraid of being swallowed by that dark eyes.
"One may think that the non-rich borns would be the ones to belive and appreciate the power of working hard, but they are the ones to become haters of the hard workers, aren't they?"
Flames were dancing in Jungkook's eyes. Taehyung was imagining an empty shell before he met Jungkook, but he came across with a coral reef with endless depths. Jungkook was destroying all of his expectations.
"We appreciate everything we have, Taehyung. 'Cause we're working honestly and hard for it, like blood sweat and tears, if you know what I mean."
Second rule of being a cop; never have prejudices and make assumptions. Your job is to investigate and to learn and you can't fill what's not empty.
Taehyung knew he broke the rule and now Jungkook was breaking him. Taehyung slowly nodded at Jungkook. He knew exactly what he means.
Suddenly, he realized how close Jungkook was to him, looking in his eyes. He could feel the warmth of his body and he was already too hot by this conversation so he took a step back. Jungkook put his smile back on his face and walked through the doors,
"Sooo, which one do you think belongs to me, Detective?" Playful Jungkook was back. "Hmmm.. Maybe this one?" Jungkook touched the light pink door.
"You're a NIGHT club owner, not a Winx Club tea party house or something, right?"
Jungkook laughed at his words loudly. His laugh was as interesting as himself. Taehyung smiled at him too and opened the black door.
The room was decorated plainly yet posh at the same time. A big and comfortable bed was drawing the attention. There was a red electro guitar hanged on the grey wall across the large window with a refreshing forest view. Taehyung also saw a new music player and lots of album CDs. There was a single chair with a black acoustic guitar leaned on it near the window too. Apparently, Jungkook was spending much time on it. Taehyung found weird that there was no photo of family or friends in the room.Jungkook seemed quite.. lonely, he thought. He wanted to ask about it but he decided to save it for another time.
"So, who is your home?"
Taehyung turned Jungkook in surprise. Damn he is careful. Jungkook was sitting on the chair near the window, legs crossed and with a smirk on his face. But there was something cold in that smirk and weird sparks in his eyes.
"I thought I was the one to make an investigation here, " Taehyung corresponded. Jungkook tighten his lips just for a second - enough time for Taehyung to catch and changed his expression in seconds. He laughed and put his hands up.
"That's true, Detective. So, why don't you start from my bed?" Jungkook smirked.
Taehyung had been checking the room with his eyes since he entered the room. He saw nothing wrong and actually he was done with here. Taehyung ran his hands through the soft fabric of the bed and he smirked too.
"Maybe next time, Mr. Jeon."
