Lisa's P.O.V.

She is gone

My jaw drops as I gasp in surprise . It is hard to believe.

"What happened? Didn't they love each other? Why did they divorce? Didn't they think about Sohee's future?"

They loved each other to eternity. I am unable to digest the fact. I really need to know what happened during those 3 years.

" Lisa ...... she's no more .... she died." He stammers in a sotto voice as his gaze is on the grass beneath our feet.

I shake my head, trying to deny the fact, not believing it again.

It's just a nightmare. She is still alive.

"It is the truth, Lisa."

It's too much that i can't take it anymore. I remain speechless remembering Taehyung. He must have gone through much. I can sense his feelings, sadness, pain that lingers in the heart. No one can comfort the pain that we have experienced when we lost someone whom we love so much. Even though he's not mine, I can bear the pain but ... he lost his love of life. Sohee, she must endure a life without a mother, omg! A mother who cares for her, who puts her to sleep, who soothes and advises her during her low days. But none of these for her. God is not fair, separating a mother from her child, two lovers. The more and more I think, my eyes begins to prick with tears, slowly making its way down my cheeks.

"She died while delivering Sohee ... both of them were in critical condition. Doctor insisted to choose one of them. Rose... she was so desperate to choose the baby. She was so crazy to save the baby. Taehyung wanted to save her saying that they could have another baby again. But she made him promise to save the baby if he loved her. He agreed with a heavy heart Lisa."

Knowing the truth. more tears floods my eyes.

"After her death, he was completely shattered, overwhelmed with grief. He ignored Sohee for weeks. That was the most horrible sight. It took weeks to make him convince that he had a daughter, his own flesh and blood. I almost gave up, when he admitted that he had a daughter. From that day he never abandons and leaves her sight." He ends with a sigh.

I'm still out of words as countless tears flows down. Bogum hugs me, trying to sooth me. Now it is clear as a mirror, the reason behind a nanny, no family photo back in the office. I sob harder leaning on his chest. O god! its too much!

Tears have dried as the sobs become quiet.

"Sorry, I ruin your shirt." I say between hiccups.

"No problem. Its good that you let your emotions out. Feeling better?"
I realize that I was crying hard that also clinging to him. I blush hard.

"Um... yeah better than before. I think I need the restroom. I must be looking horrible. Can you look after Sohee for a minute?"

"Sure."

As I said, my big eyes are pluffy, my lips plum red. The worst, my face is all red. I splash water to my face, trying to minimise the level of redness. All good!

"Aunty lisa are you crying?" I am caught red handed.

"No.. no. i'm not crying."

"But your eyes and nose are red."

"I just sneezed. Maybe because of that."

"Are you sleepy?" Bogum interfers. She nods her head. He carries her and places on the bed sedulously. I pull up the comforter. Bogum mouthes to come out.

"What's up ?"

"Well.. about the topic in the garden, please don't bring up before him."

"Why?" Stupid Lisa!

" After her death, he didn't even uttered her name once. He hates to remember that she has died. Pretend that you don't know anything. If he knows that I told you, he'll have my head off my shoulder."

"Thanks."

Just then, we hear a horn which means he is back.

"Good afternoon Mr. Kim."

"Good afternoon, where is Sohee? inside?"

"She was feeling sleepy, so she flaked out."

He opens the door ajar to see her. When he feels content, he leaves for his room.

He does loves her.
