I opened my eyes to see myself lying on the gravel next to the shore.I remember drowning clearly,so what happened?Wait,Toby.Is he OK?I ran over to where his body was.He was awake."Toby,are you OK?"I asked."Ben?"He asked."Aren't you dead?"He asked."Aren't you?"I retorted,motioning towards the bullet right where his heart was."How are we..."Toby cut himself off.A look of pure horror spread across the features I knew so well.A dark shadow was cast over us.I turned and screamed loudly.Standing behind me was a person about nine feet tall,wearing a black suit.He had no facial features and his skin was completely white."Relax,children.I am Slenderman.You both are dead.I got you from the bottom of the lake Ben."The man said somehow without a mouth."Would you like to live in Slender Mansion with me?"He explained how if we accepted we'd be turned into Proxies and kill people.We agreed.Slender put an arm on each of our shoulders and mumbled something.I felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck for a split second,and apparently so did Toby.A symbol was now on the back of Toby's neck.An O with a cross through it.He was staring at the back of my neck,so I supposed I had one too."That's the symbol of the Proxies.I'm going to take you to the mansion now via teleportation,so be ready."He said.Everything went black.
