just like any other saturday, i plopped down on the couch with my popcorn and soda in hand, ready to spend the night catching another movie. jihoon had called me earlier to go for a drink with him and jinyoung. but as usual, all i replied him was,

"not today, maybe next time?"

browsing through the movies i've downloaded, i chose 'train to busan'. while waiting for it to load, i grabbed the pillow beside me for comfort. or maybe, i would need it later for the zombie scenes.

just 30 minutes into the movie, i was already engrossed in it. i munched on the popcorn as my eyes were still fixed on the screen. just as the interesting part was about to show, an upbeat tone disrupted my focus.

i groaned in annoyance as i reached for my phone beside me. the screen displayed 'unknown number', where i contemplated before answering.

"hello?"

"jisung, get the fuck here, now." the person on the opposite line answered almost immediately, sounding as if he finished the sentence in a single breath.

i scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. who is jisung? and why is he so vulgar at a stranger? i thought for awhile before grasping the situation. he probably got the wrong number.

"sorry, wrong nu–"

"listen, i'm stabbed." he cut me off.

there was an awkward silence between us. thinking that it might be a prank call, i planned to hang up. however, i noticed his unpaced breathing from the other end, and it just sounded so real.

i don't know why, but my heart was telling me to believe it. it might be real. i should save him, right?

"w-where are you?"

because everything came so sudden, i didn't even have time to change out of my home wear. i managed to bring a jacket along with me, since it might come in handy later.

i followed the address he gave me and drove there. it only took me around 20 minutes to reach since it was only a few streets away from my home, coincidentally.

after parking my car at the road side, i got down to check the surrounding. the area is full of old and run down apartments, and most who live there are folks. it was dark and isolated, which creeped me out a little.
