Prologue
Loucienna, Brett, Amy and Carrie were on their way to warn Alexis and the others. When they were only about five miles south of LeRoy, a group of Damian's old coven, who were coming after Alexis and the others, stopped them in their tracks. Loucienna tried to reason with them, but it was pointless and useless. They had been confronted to be captured or killed. Brett and Lucy covered each others backs for as long as they could, and so did Amy and Carrie. In the end, they lost more than the fight. After being subdued, they were taken to a place they were all too familiar with, a place that was once Damian's home, and were thrown in his old dungeon. A strange young woman came into the wide open cell and touched each of them on the arm for a very long time. She was a seemingly quiet person with soft brown hair and eyes that almost glowed white. It seemed like she was listening to something, but Lucy and the others couldn't hear anything. After the woman stepped out of the cell, she touched another persons arm who was standing in the corner in the shadows. It seemed take several minutes, before they nodded to each other and she quietly left. From the shadows, a familiar voice quietly asked "What exactly were you going to tell Alexis?"
The voice sounded so familiar, but none of them could place it as they glanced among themselves. Lucy answered "We were going to warn her about all of this."
"This?" He asked, spreading his arms out wide.
"All of you coming after her."
"We're not. At least not yet. Unless you have information you're willing to share with me, I have no further use for any of you."
"We won't tell you anything."
He let out a quiet chuckle and said "I didn't figure you would." As he turned to leave, he called out to someone they couldn't see. "Dispose of them. I'm finished."
"You don't know what you're getting yourself into. She'll see right through you."
"I’m counting on it."
There wasn't much of anything any of them could do. Their lives were over in an instant. No pain. No wondering. Just the end. They had failed to warn Alexis and the others.
