3rd person POV
It was December 30th, and the sky was a dark Color of blue, mixed with little gleaming hints of white. A young boy by the age of 7 stood in the middle of an abandoned play ground; he could clearly hear the waves of the sea splashing. Clearly. Unlike others, he heard and felt everything around him, his mother made him believed it was a 'gift'. But the boy was old enough to know there was something wrong with him.
He couldn't see anything. He only saw little specks of pink and blue from time to time. He didn't know what it meant but it felt important to him that he was the only one who could see it.
"Taehyung! You made it!" The boy turned, he can sense who the person was just by his voice and little vibrations that wavered off him. "Hoseokie Hyung" Taehyung managed to say as he reached a hand out for the elder. The 8 year old smiled and calmly slipped a hand for the younger to grip. "Happy birthday! I brought you a present!" Taehyung let out a nod, and waited for his gift. Hoseok happily placed a rose on the latter's right palm.
"What is this?" Said the younger as he felt around it. The elder had made sure to pluck out all the thorns so his dongsae wouldn't get hurt. "It's a rose! It comes in many different colours and sizes! This one is red and had a lot of thorns in it, but I plucked it for you." Taehyung's face remained emotionless. He placed the fragile object down before carefully feeling his hyungs right hand.
Bandages. Everywhere. Taehyung thought as he felt the elders fingertips; "thanks" the latter whispered, referring to the gift. Hoseok smiled although the younger couldn't see it. Taehyung glanced up, there it was again. It was the pink light that glowed every now and then. It was glowing faintly, as if it wasn't sure if it was supposed to come out. Then in a split second, the Color mixes into a really light blue. Taehyung watched it silently. A second later he reached out to touch it, and what he felt was soft. It was fabric.
Hoseok watched with a little sad smile on his face as he felt Taehyung's hand on his chest. Tae felt it for awhile before finally sensing it. A heartbeat. The younger remains unfazed but looks up; for a second, he thought he saw the gleam of brown eyes.
Then comes the question. "Hyung... are you sad?" Hoseok blinked, his face now pressed into a distant look. "I am..." came the honest truth.
Tae hummed before finally loosing his arms, letting it drop to his sides. "But you were happy?" Confirmed the younger. Hoseok remains distant as he didn't answer the younger's question. Instead he pushed up the little bangs of the younger and gave his head a soft peck.
"Forget me please tae" whispered the latter. His voice was coated with the blackness of pain. Taehyung didn't fidget or cry. He stared ahead, seeing the blue light turn into something big and dark. "I won't." Taehyung stated, seeing how the light glowed darker.
"You'll never see me again." Taehyung shrugged. "I won't forget you Hyung." Hoseok can't help but cover his swollen lips as he tried to keep the sobs in. Taehyung didn't need to hear how bad this really affected him. I need you to hate me! The elder wanted to shout as tears kept slipping down.
"I-I hate you! I never w-want to see you again!" Hoseok cursed his voice for failing him and hoped the younger would be hurt in the slightest way. Taehyung tilt his head as if he'd never heard such a word before. "You... hate me?" Asked the younger, his voice monotone. Hoseok screwed his eyes shut. "I do! T-that's why I'm leaving! And I'm... im never coming back!" Taehyung was by far, most fascinated by the really dark blue, almost black, light in front of him.
"Is that so? Then I'll come with you" Hoseok bit his lip harshly. "Tae..... don't you get it? You make me sad! Yo-you... you ruined my life!" Taehyung was taken aback. His mind suddenly went back to that day. His memories were vivid and clear. His dad cursing at his mom and him before leaving in the most devastating way. It hurt him. Hoseok had hurt him.
"H-Hyung, I'm... I'm sorry..." said the younger quietly. Hoseok clenched his fist before uttering 3 small words, followed by a small confession.
"I'm so sorry... I love you so much" Taehyung watched with a dead look on his face when he saw the light slowly turned smaller as it faded away. When it was gone, he knew.. he had lost his only friend. He slumped to the ground and held the flower to his chest. He felt it then, in a very long time...
Tears. Tears... he was crying.
The most painful tears are the ones when, you have nothing left inside of you to scream so you just sit in the mist of darkness, hoping for someone. Anyone. To hold you and tell you,
"Everything is going to be ok"
But he only had the little object of hope to comfort him.
Hoseok watched for awhile from the back of a tree, far enough so the younger couldn't sense him, and watched him cry silently. It was heartbreaking. He looked so dead. His eyes were dead, but were crying for someone. And with one last glance, he slowly walked back.
"Don't be sad. I'm fine if you shine"
