a/n okay i just wanna say when i actually write like this it's not great at all so just bare with me for this part. thanks

yoongi was excited to see jungkook. he hasn't seen him in almost two months and he missed him. however, he was also nervous. he's terrible in situations like this and never knows what to say or do. he just hopes he'll be able to somehow lift jungkook's mood. that was his mission.

jungkook walked over with a small smile on his face as his eyes met with yoongi's. however, behind his eyes you could say that jungkook looked like the definition of sad. he had bags under his eyes like he hadn't slept in days, his hair was slightly messy as he didn't even care to do it, yet yoongi still thought he was cute, and you could tell by the speed of his pace and his body posture that he was just flat out sad. yoongi wrapped his arms around the younger boy and didn't let go for a good 20 seconds. he missed jungkook's hugs and figured the younger boy needed a long hug.

"are we gonna get food or just keep hugging?" jungkook asked letting out a small laugh that sounded slightly forced.

yoongi pulled away and his cheeks were tinted a rosy red colour, "sorry, yeah sure" he smiled,"so, whats on the menu?"

"well, i was thinking popcorn and candy floss and all that good stuff." jungkook told yoongi as they headed straight for the aisle where the popcorn belonged. "oh, and ice cream!" jungkook said quickly, almost forgetting the most important food to help cure sadness. probably not his sadness but he thought that it was worth a shot.

yoongi smiled collecting all the items jungkook was calling out, "yes, sir"

jungkook stopped and stared at his hyung, "yoongi"

"yes?"

"never say that again"

yoongi laughed and nodded "probably a good idea. i won't." yoongi turned round to face jungkook who giggles slightly at the height difference between them. jungkook was taller than him even though he was younger than yoongi. jungkook would often tease yoongi about it, which he hated. "anything else?"

"hmm" jungkook continued to walk around the shop with yoongi trailing behind him, "skittles!" jungkook said excitedly, grabbing two packets and throwing them in the basket, "can't forget skittles"

"good choice, they're my favourite" yoongi smiled as they both headed to the checkout.

"mine too" jungkook smiles "the green ones are the best so don't take them"

"as long as you don't take the red ones we can be civil" yoongi said with a smile.

"perfect"

"it's hard" jungkook sighed as he fiddled with his fingers

yoongi frowned, pulling the boy a little closer as they cuddled, "i bet it is. i can't imagine what you're going through."

"it's weird too cause like i'm so used to seeing her and hearing her voice everyday and now suddenly she's just.. gone. it's weird. the house feels so empty without her.. i.. i feel empty without her." jungkook looked down and distracted himself from crying by eating a few skittles, he didn't want to cry in front of yoongi.

"jungkook look at me"

"i can't"

"look at me" yoongi knew he wouldn't so he placed his fingers on the side of his face and gently turned his face towards him, "you're allowed to be sad and you're allowed to cry. you don't need to try and stop yourself or hide it."

"i-i know" jungkook sighed "it's just i don't wanna embarrass myself by crying in front of you"

yoongi frowned slightly, again, pulling the younger boy closer to him, "you won't embarrass yourself. i'm here for you whenever you need me so if you need to cry, go ahead. you don't need to keep it inside, that wont help"

"i guess.. i just don't like crying in front of people." jungkook shrugs slightly

"i know, i understand. you don't have to but it'll help and i'm not gonna judge you or anything. i promise. okay?"

jungkook nods and quietly mutters a stuttered 'okay' before burying his face into yoongi's chest and cries softly.

it broke yoongi's heart to see the young boy cry but he knew it was something that needed to happen. after all the tears and a lot more cuddling, while yoongi played with jungkook's hair and drew patters with his finger on his back, the brown haired boy fell asleep in yoongi's arms.
