Part 1
↠What If Abilities Were to Bear Curses?↞
"How happy, spring has come over the Sumida!
Rowing up, rowing down in the warm sunbeams,
Drops from the boatmen's oars look like cherry blooms,
How can I describe for you the view o'er the streams?"
Old branches creaked under the little innocent feet of Dazai Osamu's as the child's sweet voice echoed through the bamboo forest.
"Lo, see the cherry trees that stand in the morning mist,
I hear them speak to me in a tender tone..."
The weather was so peasant... The sky was so calm... The warmth of the forest comforted his heart and the sleeping souls of silver petals finally aroused to dance at the kind wind's melody. The thousands of herbs seemed weightless on Dazai's little back as he whirled among the thin wood castles of the marvelous kingdom he called his forest.
Bygone about an hour, an outstanding three crossed Dazai's path.
"Finally!" He shouted, tired of his long journey.
He placed his hand firmly on the three and took a deep breath. The trunk slowly lighten up as a blue light shone through its veins, into its branches and leafs. Dazai closed his hand into a fist and drummed gently in the three trunk. Four short notes, two long ones and a very quick one at the end. Defying the rules of physics, - as many abilities allowed to - an opening was allowed in its old wood, letting the small talented child pass into its home.
Much to Dazai's dismay, nobody seemed to be surprised by the his swollen rose-colored cheek or his missing incisor tooth. Everyone was already used to seeing Dazai hurt, he guessed. It couldn't be denied that the boy caused a lot of trouble, but he honestly hoped for some extra attention this time...
Many huts were spread in that magical court, forming a semi-circle around the huge statue of what Dazai believed to be some kind of god - Hirotsu-kun never talked about the marble statue, but it always seemed pretty important to Dazai. The small boy ran to the back of the huts, fresh grass tickling his cold feet, as he watched his older friends training. It was a great fount of entertainment, regardless of what one may think. Swords clicked and many colorful flashes circled around the new students trying to control their abilities. On the other side of the court, many young boys alike him run their thin fingers through looms and made wicker baskets while teenage girls pulled white towels and sheets from a thick rope.
"Akiko-san!" Dazai called the short-haired girl, waving at her as she dropped an old peg to the ground.
The little brunet slid his bag down his back and into the ground before walking calmly to the opposite side of that open space.
"It's Yosano for you, young man." She corrected him, despite the smile Dazai had offered her.
"You look so beautiful today!" Dazai complimented the older woman, kissing her pale hand lightly. "Your eyes shine brighter each time I see them!"
