Chapter Two: Sound Check & Secrets

{JADE'S P.O.V.}

Then the car stopped, we all got out and was instantly welcomed with screaming fans. Some of them were getting into the arena for our concert. We signed a few autographs and took a few pictures before we went inside.

"Melody, you're up first," Our tour manager said. She hopped on stage and the music for her first song on the set list started playing.

《A/N: I don't have any songs written out for Melody as I'm not using songs from other artist!》

I listen to Melody practicing for a few minutes before I start talking to Niall. Should I ask him about this morning? Yes I should!

"Niall, who were you talking about this morning at the interview?" He thought for moment.

"Uh no one," I know he's lying.

"Just tell me, I won't tell her or anyone,"

He let's out a long sigh before answering. "Fine, I was talking about Harry, "

"Really?!" I ask excited.

"Yes, really," He answered. "But he really doesn't know if he likes her or not yet. Harry's still trying to figure it out,"

Then we started talking for about 30 minutes before Melody came off the stage and it was our turn. We walked on stage and started singing our first song Power.

{HARRY'S P.O.V}

Melody ran over to me as soon as she got off the stage so we could watch the girls practice. "So how did I do?" She asked me.

"Fantastic, I like your song Falling For You," I answered. She smiled. Her smile is so beautiful.
"Thank you, I wrote that all by myself!" Melody chirped.

"Who is it about?" I asked curious. Her face got a little red.

"Not telling, no one knows except me!" She answered. Then Niall started walking toward us and leaned in to whisper in my ear. "I kinda told Jade you like Melody,"

"You what?!" I half-yelled. Niall put his hands in his pockets because he was nervous. "Sorry," Then he walked off.

"Did you have to yell?" Melody asked clearly annoyed. "Did you have to make fun of my name?" I asked smirking.

"So you're still on that?" She asked.

"Yes ma'm" She scrunched her nose, "Ew, don't say that it makes me feel old," I just laughed at how cute she was being. No, no, no. I can't like her. Any way she'll never like me

"Oh! I have a new nickname for you!" I told her. "And what is it?" Melody asked. "Mels," I said. She sat and thought for a moment.

"I like it, nice job Styles," We high-fived at my great nickname. "Thanks Thirlwall," I said. "Who was Niall talking about in the interview?" She asked me. I froze, there is no way she can know it's me.

"Uh, I don't know," I answered quickly. Thankfully it was our turn to get on stage. The girls ran off as we ran on the stage.

{MELODY'S P.O.V}

Okay, why was Harry acting so weird? I just asked him a simple question. The girls all came to sit by me and we started talking about tonight.

"By the way, nice practice," I said. "Oh, thank you!" Perrie said. "After sound check can we go to get something to eat?"Leigh-Anne asked. "Leigh, we can't leave. There is a food table in the back," Perrie said. "Oh darn," Leigh-Anne sighed.

We all started watching the boys perform and I couldn't help but stare at Harry. He saw me and winked at me. I got butterflies in stomach. Wait does this mean I like him? No way, I can't!
"What was that little wink about?" Jesy asked me. Then all of the girls started listening. I could feel my face getting red. "Not sure, I'll ask him about after they're done," I answered. The girls looked at each other before chanting quietly, "You like Harry!"
