They thought they were safe in Marissa's house. However, the bus driver had put a tracking device on Zak's backpack. They bus driver was well on his way to her house. He got to the house and bust down the front door. Zak and Marissa jumped off the second floor window. They fell on her trampoline, got up, and ran out of the side gate leaving Zak's backpack behind.
