I saw Raina hit the floor and her dad walk out of the room and slam the door behind him. I grabbed the underside of the window and pulled up and the window slid open with ease. I climbed through and checked to see if the girl was still breathing. She was. Thank fucking god. I was crying again, for the second time tonight. I got some things from the girls dresser and set them on the bed. I found a camo duffel bag and put the clothes in them. I found her phone and charger and put them in there as well. I found the computer that the school gave us and tossed it in with the rest of her stuff. I set the bag next to the girl. Damn. I wish I knew her name. I bet it's as beautiful as she is. Shit. I did it again. I have no feelings for this girl. I don't even know her name. I grabbed her mattress and tried to fold it and shove it out the window as best as I could I heard it hit the roof. I set the girl and her stuff and on the mattress. I climbed out of her room and shut the window behind me. I climbed onto the mattress myself and gave it a little push and we were off. The mattress hit the ground with a thud. It was a good thing the girl is unconscious. It had kinda' hurt me, though not much. I slung the duffel bag over my shoulders and the girl as well. I started running into the forest as fast as possible. No distance was far enough from that asshole this girl calls dad. I thought I'd take her back to my house but there was police there. Damn. I had no idea as to what we were going to do. I had no idea where we were either. I found a big tree and went over to it so I could take a rest. I set the girl down on the tree and I sat down across from her. I was chilling when I heard her moan in pain. She moved her head to the side and opened her eyes. "What happened?" she asked me.

"You don't remember do you?" I asked back.

"If I did would I be asking you what happened?"

"No I suppose not."

"Okay then. What happened?"

"Your dad got infuriated and beat the crap out of you and you passed out or you were knocked out or something." She looked down and fiddled with a string on her jacket.

"How much did you see?"

" All of it." I whispered so low I wasn't sure if she even heard me.

"Well... where are we?"

"In all honesty I have no idea." I replied.

"How did I even get out here?"

"I threw you out your window onto a mattress and rode down your roof."

"You what!?" she cried.

"Nothing." I said quickly.

"Well then. This sucks." she pouted. "Kinda."

"What's your name?" I asked,"I didn't get when we met slash on the bus."

"It's Raina. Raina Tsukahara."

"My names... oh wait," I felt really dumb,"you already know my name."

"Yeah."

"So. We should get going...'' it was kinda' awkward. I was on the run from the cops and now I'm was lost in the forest with a girl I hardly even know but still. It was kinda' nice being there with her. In that hopeless situation. I wouldn't wanna' be with anyone else back then. This was my most prized memory. God Damnit. There I went again with all this crap about the girl. I couldn't keep thinking like this. It wasn't good for me. The thing about it was that I couldn't help it. Those thought had just popped into my head and I couldn't not think about how true they were. I loved her and there's no denying it. I couldn't keep quiet about my feelings forever and there were only so many hours in a day. I had no idea how to tell her, but I had to do it soon. Feelings that are bottled up for too long explode like a stick of dynamite and it never ends very well. I wanted this to be like a fairytale that I read when I was young, where the guy gets the girl and they live happily ever after. Only I knew that it was never going to ends like that for me. It never does. I always get the short end of the stick when it comes to these kinds of things, and no matter what I try to do about it, it always ends up the same. Where I come out on bottom. As I looked around there was nothing but trees and this eerie atmosphere that surrounded us in this forest at this time of night.

"Raina... I have something to tell you." I said.

"Yeah? What is it?" Raina asked.

" Well I don't exactly know how to say this but... here it goes," I try to get it out but I just kinda stutter," Iii... thththink that Iii... "

"Yessssss. Go onnnn." she said.

"I think I like you just a bit."

"That's what you wanted to tell me?" she said obviously not believing me.

"Yeah, You probably think I'm some goober don't you?"

"Not at all. I think that it takes a man to share his feelings like that," she said with a heartfelt tone," Truth is... I kinda' like you too."

"Really?"

"No. Not really."

"Oh" I said devastated.

"I'm just messing with you."

I exhaled loudly,"Oh thank god." I looked at the ground and sighed. This was going to be a long night, day, week, whatever you wanted to call it. The thing was that I didn't care how long that we were going to be stuck in this mess, as long as she was by my side things would be a helluva lot better than if she wasn't. But I honestly had no idea how bad things could get... 'till they did.
