(I'm re writing the entire Higetsu Nights books, therefore it is now the British school system. So year seven is eleven to twelve, Year eight is twelve to thirteen and so on. High school goes up to year eleven. Higetsu Nights is my own original series :3)

"You're seriously out of this world," A slightly breathy voice wins its way to my soft ears. Imogen. Of course, who else would attempt to speak to me while I fall deeply to my daydreams? I deliver Imogen a quick smile, a mere twist of my lower lip, before sinking back to my cherished dreams.

Around us, there is a hustle of chatter, a dark whirlwind hauling every inch of my ears into it. In my mind, I chuckle at the creatures we call "classmates". Form time was JUST like last year. I wouldn't be shocked if my new school year was a simple copy of the last one.

"Quiet!" Mrs Hook's familiar harsh voice shrieks narrowly within the classroom. Like magic, all of the noise was completely gone. Even I, the girl out of this world, look up to Mrs Hook's unwelcoming expression, her small eyes drooping far into her ancient wrinkles of which are folding in on themselves. Her straw-colored hair is so arid it's snapping at the ends, a single strand of it droops above her forever-frown of which somehow morphs into a fake smile, "We have a new student this year."

Before she can say another word, everybody begins eagerly gawking around, even Imogen seems a little curious. Without even having to look properly, I notice a thin, hooded boy in the back corner, scratching his hands so harshly he looks as if he's hurting himself. However, beyond his black hoodie, I see a shy, pale, blue-eyed boy.

"Now," Mrs Hook explains, "His name is Jayden and I want you all to take good care of him." As she speaks of him like a pet, she glares tightly at me. She knew I had a hard time last year when I was the new girl.

"I don't know what all the fuss is about," Imogen tuts as I give a quick smile to Jayden, "He's just another stupid kid!"

"Is that what you said about me last year?" I pull off a fake grin.

"N-No!" Imogen huffs, crossing her arms so tightly her perfect cerise-brown hair jumps. I'm forever idolizing Imogen, her perfectly curved hips and large breast. The beautiful way her shiny dark eyes gleam amongst her olive skin. She's good at makeup too, Not that I would ever wear makeup. Glossy lips, an overcoat of dark mascara upon her never-fading eye-liner flicks. She's a perfect fairy tale girl.

I slam my tongue against the top of my dry mouth, then bite my bottom lip with my half-grown front tooth.

My first lesson is maths. When the bell finally rings, a whirlpool of students floods through the door. Imogen was a part of this flood too, in fact, everyone was! Everyone except me was. Everyone except me and the new boy.
