"Little Potter."
You stopped in your tracks, you turned with a furious look on your face. You had been heading back to your common room from a DA meeting and had always decided to take the long way through the dungeons to avoid suspicion of any sort. Although moments like these made you regret your decision. "What do you want, Malfoy?" He had been calling you "little Potter" for so long, you've actually learned to respond to it. No matter how much you hated it.
"You should be in your common room, it's almost curfew." He said, crossing his arms. You could see the smug smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Well," you started, "as you can see, I was trying to get back to my common room, but someone stopped me on my way, Malfoy." you tried to remain composed, but his smirk only grew bigger and it was hard to hide how much that infuriated you.
"I will escort you back then," he said and you two started walking. You stole glances at the guy next to you. He was only a year older and still he towered over you. He was quiet and calm. Walking around the castle at night would terrify you, especially after all that has happened over your years at Hogwarts. Yet Draco seemed bothered by none of that.
"What?" Draco asked, noticing the glances you've been giving him. Then again, you haven't done much to hide them.
"You seem quiet," you said.
"What do you mean?" His looked almost puzzled. It was kind of cute.
"You . . . you just haven't teased me or made fun of me once during our entire encounter. It's different. You're acting, I wouldn't say nice, but maybe . . . civil," you rambled, trying to grasp the right words to say. Draco remained quiet, staring at you intently the entire time you were talking.
"Would like me to not be 'civil?'" he asked.
"No, it's fine. Better actually. Just, it would be nice to fill the awkward silence, you know?" you said. This is weird. You are having an actual almost civil conversation with your brother's arch enemy and the boy who has been picking on you since your first year at Hogwarts.
Draco cleared his throat, "I suppose." He thought for a moment, then decided to ask, "What's it like?"
You scrunched your eyebrows together. "What is what like?"
"Being the "boy who lived's little sister." He said. You looked straight at him, trying to decide if he was being serious or not, but you saw no sign of joking anywhere on his features so you decided to give him a serious answer.
"Um, I guess it's not much different than having any older brother, aside from the fact that your brother is preparing to face off against the most evil, dark wizard of all time." you said.
"I know all that. I just wanted to know what it was like for you." he said.
"What? Have you become my shrink?" I asked. He chuckled a bit at my remark, a true, genuine laugh that puts a smile on your face.
"Just answer," he said, smiling.
I thought about it before saying, "Well, a lot of people only see me as Harry Potter's little sister, instead of seeing me as me. Sometimes it's like people only see me because my last name is Potter."
"You could always just change your last name," Draco suggested.
"Really? What would I even change it to?" you asked.
